Wat?
Here's Ole Miss' recruiting rankings from '03-'07:
2003-41
2004-68
2005-30
2006-17
2007-28

And didn't they finish in the top 15-20 and beat Florida a mere 2 years later with all those recruits?

There were several NFL players on his 2007 roster. Ole Miss' 2007 record? 3-9 (0-8).
Houston Nutt immediately came in and won 9 games two years in a row with the talent that Orgeron recruited. FIFTY!

Interim records and bragging about beating Bert is all you can cling to to defend Orgeron
Don't see anyone bragging about it, they are using it as an example to show how dumb you are.

Because the QB transfer Orgeron recruited became eligible that year...They had major QB issues under Orgeron, but he found a good QB finally and never got to play him. O left Nutt a ton of talent which he won with for a couple years then fell off into obscurity.

No VOLS poster OTB are deluding themselves over Butch. Can't say the same about LSU fans and their Ole Miss reject.

Isn't this something LSU has also had trouble with the last few years? Hiring a coach who had "major QB issues" to take over a program that has had its own "major QB issues."

Well, he managed to get two pretty good Qbs to commit to him and then hired a guy that is kind of known for developing QBs. This isn't going to look like his Ole Miss teams.

Oh? Please direct me to where you see LSU fans beating their chest over Orgeron. I think we all know exactly what we have and that his success is dependent on good coordinators. I haven't seen anyone say otherwise and neither have you. That said, the coordinators and recruiting should make for a pretty good season.

If you guys are content with 9 and 10 win seasons then I think you will be happy with Orgeron. Nothing wrong with a 9-3 season on average. Most teams would take that all the way to the bank. I really think Orgeron will compete with Gus next year for second place in the west and sugar bowl birth.

Based on? I mean Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris were four stars.

Right. The same guy that almost every program that has employed him couldn't wait to fire.

I agree with you. As long as Saban is at Bama I'm fine with second in the west.

Frick that. This type of thinking is what led to Orgeron getting hired in the first place.
We haven't beaten Saban in a while so why try anymore, right? This is how it starts.

How many people are lining up to hire that constant winner?

Yea, it will probably be bumped when LSU finishes just ahead of Ole Miss next season (second to last).
