This is not about South Carolina. I like South Carolina and love Spurrier. They are the team that I pull for in the East if they are not playing LSU.
This is about A&M thinking that they won the National Championship by beating you. I am simply saying that beating South Carolina is really not that big of a deal.

mexicans have some fine arse women.
as far as texas being "southern", east texas is pretty southern. i grew up in louisiana and dallas(even though thats north texas), there is a whole "texan" thing, but its not grounded in reality. they never fought and won anything themselves, the rest of the country did it for em. the republic of texas was always a joke, they found that out when they couldnt hold their own.
if it wasnt for oil, texas would be a bigger geo-political meth lab than new mexico, and thats considerable.
ill give props to a&m as an institution for trying to be a state funded school that actually tries to educate the public by any means necessary, if they qualify.
i cant say the same for utaustin. students can get into utaustin for being a tryhard and having a good high school gpa, theres nothing elite about admitting tryhards. its not as if its stanford where smart, rich arse alumni built that school from the ground up, its built on oil money that they are very lucky to have, it like winning the lottery and its always easy to tell who earned their money and who didnt. also a reflection of the states attitude.
good luck aggies. you have a chance to do something special, as a program, for the foreseeable future. use those built in advantages for championships, bragging rights take care of themselves.

What is the purpose of this thread? You think A&M posters are actually going to change after reading your post?

No. I am just saying that beating South Carolina is not the world beating accomplishment that they make it out to be.
It is a relatively common occurrence for most of the top teams in the SEC.

Do you realize that we used to be one of the worst programs in college football? Congratulations, you racked up a bunch of those wins when we were bottom of the barrel.
Would you say that is still the case? Do you think we're still one of the worst programs in college football?

No. I think that USCe is doing great. But, getting blown out in a game that you thought you would win is not beyond you at this point. You are not THAT established. It happens. South Carolina read their press clippings and was over confident. Beating SCAR does not a season make.

Then why bring up your record against us that spans back to pre-WWII?

Most Gamecock fans I know were very optimistic on last week's game. It was the LSU and Alabama fans on here last week that were saying A&M was going to get blown out.

Neither is Stanford or Oregon, yet if A&M had blown them out last week, they'd still be getting pats on the back from all over the country (except from LSU fans, of course.) Why is that? Because we've been very good recently.

And nor should it. But we're not the same winless South Carolina program that struggled mightily for years as you're attempting to indicate with this thread.

It's just an honest point.
I don't get all the gripe. A win over SC is nothing like a win over LSU, Bama or AU
