Man, they have only played twice (1965 and 1989) so why are you making this thread?

So why are they called the "Orange", again? Is this a Native-American thing- or did they cave in to the Citrus Lobby wanting more representation?

Orangemen refers to the Protestant N. Ireland and Scottish group/organization.

Syracuse is on their third string quarterback.

Even at full strength, it's a horrific mismatch.

unless the Orangemen use a time machine to bring back Ernie Davis and Donnovan McNabb the game will be essentially over at halftime

Actually, the Cuse are planning on starting their fourth-string QB. A former walk-on, who only played his senior year in high school.

From The Rant:

quote:

I just mentioned it in another thread, but it will probably get lost in there. I think it's quite a point of interest.

Their starter, Terrel Hunt, tore his achilles in the first game of the year.

Their backup, Eric Dungey, probably won't play against LSU after a brutal helmet to helmet hit that likely caused a concussion.

AJ Long started a few games last year, but has been awful in practice and the staff does not trust him.

Austin Wilson was a lightly recruited 2013 QB. He played some in the game against Central Michigan, but gave way in OT.

So enter in Zack Mahoney. Who the heck is Zack Mahoney?

Well he's a guy who only started playing quarterback his senior year of high school. He had to try on at his local Community College in Illinois. He was offered a preferred walk-on spot at Indiana and Illinois after his first year at College of Dupage, but decided to accept one at Syracuse. He was playing QB on the scout team in the lead up to the CMU game. He was 4 for 4 for 19 yards against CMU and took the reigns in OT.

TLDR: Syracuse is in big trouble

Despite the injuries they are a 3-0 ACC team in a far away land and the game will be early.
I wouldn't touch that line.

No such thing for LSU fans. We will represent well. It will be like the Washington game where LSU fans took over and literally drank the bars dry.
