Some of you guys think the things people say on a message board really matter when they don't.
The game not being played is an advantage for UF. And it's something the SEC enabled and is allowing. I would have loved to watch Florida play LSU, it's one of my favorite games every year. But that's the way it went this year and it's time to move on. Florida has a new lease on life and I hope they do their part to take advantage of it. If Tennessee beats Bama or A&M they deserve to go to Atlanta. If they lose both then it gives UF a chance. I hope Florida gets the chance and takes advantage of it, just like any other fan of their favorite team would.

If I was a fan of Florida I'd be embarrassed to show my face in public.
I'm not saying the team was scared, yall have a talented team. But your coaching staff and AD were scared. That much is incredibly obvious.

The way to do that would have been to play the game and embarrass poor LSU. But instead they were too afraid they'd lose to even try and play the game.
And how is it being the team so disrespected that a narrow loss to you is considered so embarrassing that it makes a school suffering that narrow loss spend millions to immediately fire their coach?

I think this is absolutely ridiculous.
The AD wants the game to get played in Gainesville because Florida doesn't want to lose a home game. Period. Mac wants the game to be played in Gainesville because it's in the best interest of his team. Period. His say in the matter means nothing.
Foley said no, we're playing this game today, tomorrow or Monday in Gainesville or were not playing it at all. LSU agreed to play it Sunday. The SEC said no.
Florida offered to play it November 19th. LSU said no.
I'm sure the Gator fans in Florida right now are more worried about their families and homes than they are about Florida and LSU not playing a game this weekend. Being from Louisiana you'd think y'all would understand. It's sickening how much this is about football to y'all. There's more beyond football.

Students on Florida's campus were playing games outside DURING THE HURRICANE. What southern Louisiana and what Gainesville have been through doesn't even REMOTELY compare.

Florida agreed to play later Saturday or Sunday. The SEC said no. Foley said that they said no because emergency personnel would be where they were urgently needed along the coast.
LSU's administration is who got embarrassed this weekend. Florida made them their bitch in negotiations AND made them the bad guy when it came out that we offered November 19th and they said no.
You say it's fiction that Florida agreed to play on Sunday because that's all that fits your narrative. You have NO IDEA what went into the negotiations other than what your bitchy beat reporters have said.
