I think this Bama team is better than last season, despite the loss of the best 2 players.I also believe that team would beat 22' LSU more than 50% of the time, despite last season's loss.

Now the question: Has this year's LSU team improved so much more from last season than Bama that they should expect the W?

. . . . . . .

I actually like to see both teams do well, so I don't really have a dog in this fight. However, the logical choice is Bama. No?

Coming from an LSU fan I would always expect people to choose Bama, the history speaks for itself there

The nice thing is just knowing when you have great QB play you can beat anyone any given day....if the defense can just hold up SOME.

I disagree that this year's BAMA team is better than last year. I think it is much more subtle.

Both teams were underperformers relative to the talent on the roster. This year the QB position has taken a monumental step backwards. Last year, even when the team played poorly, Bryce could dig us out of holes. This year we cannot afford to get into a hole.

Home game for RTR so already a tough task for LSU. I am not convinced the defense can stop the run and you know there will be simple passing situations that the secondary will allow chunk plays.

LSU will have to score often. Against Bama D may not be the case.

We got into a hole just this past game and won by 14 points...

True, I was referring more to playing a high-powered offense like LSU... not TN. Additionally, I don't know any Bama fan that was feeling fantastic about the chances of our comeback at halftime. Maybe I'm a glass half empty type of person though

BAMA is gonna have to be comfortable scoring more than 35. It’s gonna be a shoot out

This is true, but it was also Tennessee not LSU on offense. Tennessee's offense has been held up quite a few times this year between Florida, A&M, 2nd half Bama and somehow only scored 30 on Austin Peay St?

That was a hole easier to dig out of holding them to nothing the second half, I would hope our offense doesnt go a whole half without scoring.

LSU offense is significantly better than last season.

Defense is worse, could be significantly worse this week down four cornerbacks, the top safety and top defensive lineman.

Our D is better and the O is significantly worse. Will be an interesting game for sure.

I would rather play against Milroe and a better defense than against Bryce Young and the team from last year.

Saban has few weaknesses, but in the past great dual threat quarterbacks have definitely been one of them. If you could draw up a player that could cause more fits to Saban than anybody, it would be JD5. Just watch last year’s game. And guess what? This offense puts last year’s to shame. This football team is definitely better than last year. The defense is not as good, but it is improving. The front seven is good. Secondary is a shite show.

Offensively, yes BY FAR. Defensively, it's still one of the worst i've seen as an LSU fan.

If Milroe is on his game he and Burton may torch us all night long. Then if they establish the run and play keep away.. Alabama only needs to hold us to about 30 points to win imo.

LSU has to pressure, blitz, and contain Milroe to have a chance because the DBs can't cover anyone. I don't feel great about this game.

I don't think this Bama team is better. They just had a QB that wasn't really throwing much in practice for a month.

LSU Defense or lack of will ultimately cost LSU this game on Saturday. Run run , fake run hit slant all night. We have no secondary. Congratulations to elephant fans on the win.

I think we've improved a lot from the start of the season. Still don't think our defense is where it needs to be to stop Bama, but it'll be a good game.

I think the key is Bama’s defense getting off the field and keeping Daniels on the sideline as much as possible. I’d like to see something like plus 10 in time of possession in favor of Bama. That’s gonna be a tough job.
