well I'm guessing but it sounds like we changed our mind, rolled the dice thinking he was solid, used the relaxed contact rules and got burned when the kid flipped. if so, even though the violation depends on what someone else does, we broke the rules.

I would never use the relaxed contact rules. no such thing as a sure bet on signing day.

lies? Little strong. People are allowed to change their minds. Womack was actively looking around from the day he committed. The schools are fully aware that the FAA is one-sided. The players are not bound to the school in any way.

LSU knew the risk because it's been discussed at length. No one else had this problem. Sounds like either poor compliance or administration to let this happen.
It is still mind boggling to me that you think a rule thats legality is dependent on the future act of another party is an ok rule. Mind boggling

Or make the rule only apply when the school voids the contract not when the player does.
Exactly. This makes complete sense. How everyone doesnt feel the same way is astounding

It's idiotic, but an aggie fan like yourself can't be expected to fully understand why.

It's like you ask a girl out, but things don't work out, so because you called her and talked to her that entire time you were dating, we'll charge you with harassment.

Did you even read the article?

Yes, poor compliance for self reporting a possible violation that the SEC decided to penalize us for.

The SEC should stay the frick out of it

LSU is banned from signing early enrollee recruits to financial aid agreements for the next two years, and the program will be stripped of 10 percent of its recruiting evaluation days in 2015, according to public records obtained by The Advocate.

The penalties, handed down by the Southeastern Conference and reported by the school on Feb. 3, stem from a violation that occurred this fall involving an unnamed recruit.

Valentine last year now this.

frick the SEC.

This seems kind of shitty to me. He was "committed," he signed the Financial Aide and then HE flipped.

This is going to create a headache for the NCAA, they aren't going to enforce this evenly with every recruit. They don't have the manpower to investigate all of the possible flip violations. I would be surprised if these sanctions aren't overturned by the summer.

It's stupid shady. We'll let you talk since he INTENDS to enroll early, but since he hasn't actually signed a LOI, watch yourself.

Vandy is the only team in the SEC that cheats less than us. Care to guess who is the most?

As much as I was hoping this was going to be a big deal, this is just stupid.

If anything, that penalty is too harsh to LSU. What a joke.

Yeah Auburn players admit to cheating on tv.

Fluker admits he got paid.

Nothing to see there. We got to bring the hammer down on predicting if a recruit will stay committed.
