If it weren’t for Saban resurrecting your backwoods program, you’d just be the west’s version of UGA. I’ve got more respect for the Auburn fanbase who at least acts like they’ve been there before. They celebrate their champions but they do move on the following season. Tell us about 46-41 again, swamp rat!

W haven't had a following season yet.

Not true! You can actually kill someone else if you are not careful about passing it on to others that are vulnerable or old or have underlining health issues.

Same applies to the flu, you haven’t been talking about that since the Rant opened.

Far be it for me to defend a Tech fan, but he's the only one making any sense in this white trash trump cult you call a forum. The rest of you dumb bastards are saying we should have coronavirus parties, and it's just the flue, and even flat out lying saying it's mortality rate is less than the flu when it's actually at least 5-10 times more deadly. You can keep being an idiot but stop trying to call out people making sense you dumb bastard.

Once again you ignorant sack of sh*t, this is not the flu. I realize you're a dumb hick, but try and educate yourself. Let me help you. Covid is 5-10 times the mortality rate of the flu, despite not being as wide spread. It does damage to the lungs even in healthy people that the flu does not. We also have a vaccine for the flu you asswipe. Stop listening to the coward in the white house and learn something.

You aren't fit to call yourself a UGA fan.

I'm completely fine with this. Coaches should actually be holding Coronavirus parties with their teams in the SEC. Get them all infected so they won't have to worry about this shite during the season.

One year wonders.

Glad we own you poors.

Surprised you're not in Tulsa.

One year wonder who are second in NC’s this century? Congrats btw your team is first but Saban isn’t still propping LSU up 15 years later chief.

Then you haven’t had it. The weakness is horrible and it takes at least two weeks to fully feel like you have the energy to do much of anything. These college players will be fine they are in the best shape of their lives but it’s not as easy as just practicing through it.

Your simply wrong about this. Some studies have shown possibly up to 50% of all cases are completely asymptotic and those infected will never even realize they have it. The overwhelming majority of college players who have tested positive so far have been 100% asymptomatic or extremely mild symptoms.

Yes there is the other percent of stronger cases with much more debilitating symptoms but those cases are a very high percentage of older people and those with Co—morbidities and existing illnesse. NOT ALL. A small percentage of young healthy people have had very bad cases and outcomes but percentage wise a VERY SMALL amount.

These players are probably happy. Skip some brutal summer workouts and have no fear of missing games during the fall

Yet this "flu like symptom" has KILLED 100,000+ people all over the world in just a few months.

How many people usually die from the flu (which, btw, has a different strain/version) EACH YEAR?

So it's not ok for Trump to have a rally but its ok for all the dems to protest and bs. Got it, typical double standard.

No, the hypocrisy is he & his staff (esp. MP - who is to be in charge of controlling this in the US) DOES NOT follow the rules they say we should obey. Shall we forget the hospital where MP DID NOT wear a mask (yet everybody else in the pic DID).....or trump visiting the auto plant who admitted he DIDN'T to prevent a photo-op for Dems?

Dumbasses like you keep peddling this lockdown shite because you probably have been telling people how bad it’s suppose to be for months and you now know it has a mortality rate less than the flu and you are scared to say it.

I don’t see any posts from you last flu season telling people to stay home from that virus, which is more deadly and has a vaccine.

Yet 100,000+ people killed WORLD-WIDE is "less of a mortality rate than the flu"?
Got it.

This isn't the same type of virus either. We currently have no vaccine... We do have a treatment that has shown decent results. This isn't going away any time soon either. The virus doesn't seem to GAF about heat so there is no seasonality to it. There are gonna be another 2-300k that die from it over the next 18 months. I know someone that was 40 perfectly health and exercised regularly that was on a vent and hospitalized for 17 days.
When it hits someone hard it is rough AF.

Think of it as the entire population randomly given a set of football pads and all of them having to get drilled by Lawrence Taylor in his prime. There are some people that are gonna die. Some people are gonna get shoulder pads and a helmet. Those that don't if you are 20 years old and in shape you will shake it off. If you are 80 you will likely die without pads or compromised immune system... But if you get lucky and get pads and a helmet and don't have any conditions you'll survive but feel like you got hit by the Mack truck.

Check your 2017 numbers (80,000).

This is a real thing. Numbers are inflated. Covid deaths and treatments are lucrative for reimbursement purposes.

That being said, we don't need an article everytime someone pops up with it. We will all come in contact with the virus, like it or not. Some will express symptoms, many won't. Few will struggle, many won't. If you're high risk, protect yourself. If you're under 50, you're fine unless you have a bunch of comorbidities. College athletes are good to go. The media wants to blow this thing (by design) out of proportion.

Swine flu was more of a threat to college athletes. Where was the concern?
