The point of allotment is to make sure one fanbase doesn't buy all the tickets

They aren't even planning on opening the uppers unless needed.

There will be plenty of tickets.

That's the same thing as not having an allotment. You just repeated the OP and called him an idiot. You didn't give any reason.

To be fair... how many fans in SC are going to be able to plan travel down to LA in a 48-72 hour span in the middle of all the flooding?

Why aren't LSU fans going to fill the stadium, prior plans? It seems odd for a team in the hunt for it all.

You should update the OP with correct information.

It seems odd that people would make plans for a weekend in which the football team was supposed to be out of town?

if USC asked for an Allotment and could not fill it those tickets would go to waste anyway with only a matter of days in the first place to fill them.

Since USC wants to sell as many tickets as possible general admission is the best route to go. USC fans that still want to make the trip can do so...while allowing LSU fans the ability to buy remaining tickets.

People acting like LSU wont be able to sell tickets are funny...The Saints are on the road this week and there is nothing else going on in this state right now.

So people going out of town, attending weddings, what have you, should just throw away their plans (not to mention the costs involved) to watch South Carolina?

That's a truly nice thing to do. Maybe the tv network covering the game should also give to the people of South Carolina. They have certainly been thru a lot.

LSU you should at least give them a reach around...

No way in hell USC would be able to fill the amount of seats allotted. The point here is that the game won't come close to selling out from either fan base, and there will be plenty of tickets available to anyone who wants to go. Plus SC gets all the moola.

OP is a jackass. LSU is doing everything they can to accommodate SC.

WTF are you talking about....the reason a school gets an allotment is either (1) ensure that seats are available to the road team in an away stadium or (2) to ensure that each school is on the hook for tickets for bowl games.

NEITHER of those scenarios presents itself in this situation. Therefore it is 'idiotic' to suggest that LSU should give South Carolina an 'alotment' of tickets.

Instead of a reach around I think a side hug may be more in order.
