Hmmmm. I wonder why he might have said something other than "I hope LSU hires me and fires Miles this week" during the season last year when Miles had not been officially fired?

You mean did Fischer not tell everyone that he didn't want to be the coach of his current team, in the middle of the season?

Don't be fricking obtuse.

Why would jimbo leave Fsu for lsu?

Having to recruit against FSU, Miami(mainly), Central Florida, South Florida, among others in state( a much more saturated market). At LSU his biggest in state recruiting challenger would Tulane, I guess. Maybe LA Tech, SW Louisiana. I honestly don't know who the second best program in the state is. I just know they can't compete with LSU. That's the upside.
The downside would be competing against the toughest division in all of college football. He would likely have better teams with less conference Championships.

The idea that FSU can pay more.

LSU's athletic department, a private entity, is one of the top 5 most financially healthy (by multiple metrics) in the country. LSU has, I think up until Kiffin's new contract, had the highest paid coaching staff in the country. Jimbo has lost multiple assistants to the SEC due to their admin not ponying up (Craig, Pruitt, etc.)

If you want to speculate that he was or was not coming, fine. Just don't use FSU's current head coach saying he didn't want to leave FSU, in an interview in the middle of the current season, as some sort of proof. That's the definition of ignorant.

If you can link me to just one coach who has ever said, "Well, yeah I wanted to leave but that fell through so I just stayed" while they were still coaching at the school I will digress.

The term "Coach speak" was coined for a reason you dolt.

I dont know why he would. He has the best team in a recruiting power state like Florida.

Yep and the ACC where he's guaranteed several 10+ win seasons and several more conference championships
