what if I am in Gainesville and there are no gas stations that have gas an I am stuck in Gainesville with no gas in my car but just a Glock in my glove compartment?
Watch out for Master/Blaster and hope Immortan Joe is in a good mood?

Comparing this to Katrina is absurd. First....a high pfressure system will be in place on Friday and winds will be from the fricking WEST....got it?
I should add that I have owned and operated boats for many years and have taken many trips out 100+ miles offshore and I damn well knew what the weather was going to be like. I do know weather and I know what counteracts counter clockwise winds....clockwise moving high pressure system on Friday that pushes this damn thing more offshore.
The rain chance is now 20% for Saturday which means probably no rain....and a 30% chance on Friday afternoon. Breezy winds in Gainesville and we have played at AU in gusts of 45 mph....and we lived. Relax already. On Saturday this storm will be off SC.
Gainesville will be fine.
That said I just got a coffee at Havana in WPB and I kind of feel like I'm in the first 5 minutes of the Walking Dead. shite's deserted.

I hope you are right. It's a roll of the dice though. Either we all get lucky and the game goes on as planned or y'all crap out and it gets cancelled. Good luck, and hoping for an eastern trend.

Settle down Skip. That's irrelevant. Katrina sticks out in my mind most, but there are several other storms that hit BR that have similar memories for me.

Not from what I've seen. Maybe you should take another look at the forecast.
I wish it were played in Gainesville in optimal conditions. But your homefield advantage is going to be trash. Kids have left campus, fans will be inhibited from my going, and your team kind of sucks anyway.
If it were up to me, they would play it in the GA dome. At LSU, wherever. We just hosted South Carolina last year and it was weird. I think it's pretty silly to try to forge ahead with this game and force our players and coaches to travel into that mess, over a damn football game.

And if the storm is as bad as some suggest, I think it is weird to pack our players onto a plane while their friends and families are dealing with a major storm. I'd imagine some might think it more important to help with recovery than play a football game.

I don't understand why LSU fans want to cancel, let the storms pass and play the game.

I posted the NWS latest forecast in another thread. He's exactly right about Saturday.

Rain isn't the problem.....

Looks like GV up to 80% probability of TS force winds. Here's a link to all the models on one webpage.

20% chance of rain and 19 mile an hour wind is the max on Sat. Fri is 100% chance of rain with max winds at 32.
Still think no final decision has been made. If Hurricane slides more West then the game will be canceled. Travel plans are screwed in either case. Florida fans won't be able to get out on Friday now to another site. Makes sense to sit tight and keep game scheduled as is for now. Either they will play in Florida Sat or not at all.

CNB was so close to guessing the amount of pages of this thread. So. Close.

ZERO LSU fans want this game cancelled. Mcelwain wants the game postponed or cancelled because he knows they have no shot at beating LSU (especially in their current state)
We want to play, we just don't want our fans/players lives and wellbeing at risk.

LSU fans don't want to cancel. It's sad how stupid you are.
