Florida believed all week the game would have been playable this weekend.

So UF banked on this and fiddled their thumbs all week with absolutely no contingency plan
And yet, they would have been correct right?
No one seems to think there would be much of an issue hosting this weekend.

Florida believed all week the game would have been playable this weekend. From Barnhart: I talked to Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley late Thursday afternoon. His explanation was simple: As of Wednesday at 4 p.m., it looked as if the storm was on a track that would’ve made Saturday’s game possible with a later kickoff than noon, as was originally scheduled. Obviously, the folks at LSU look at things different. LSU’s position is it went the extra mile to relocate the game to Baton Rouge and Florida said no because the possibility existed that the game could be played Gainesville
Well that just makes them look even more incompetent for not having contingencies.

Not my spin, its Tony Barnhart's.
People read things all the time, but ignore them as wrong. BUT, when you read something and post it as also your opionion you become part of the spin. Spin away... spin away....

just pure posturing
I dislike Alleva as much as the next guy, but posturing Isn't what he does--he never answers questions, rarely gives statements and doesn't stick his neck out too much.
He did a poor job of not getting in front of this thing, but he isn't being dishonest in anything he's saying.

Gainesville looks like they could get about an inch of rain according to accuweather. Looks like LSU was too scared to come play the gators.

LSU offered to play in Gainesville Sunday. Fact
Every other team affected by Matthew has rescheduled for this week. Fact
Florida saw this as an out for their beat up QB and lineman. Anything else is just spin.

Hurricane Matthew is barreling through The Bahamas and is projected to scrape along Florida's Atlantic coast. But Gators officials were adamant against moving the game, Alexander said, a position Florida made clear with a statement Wednesday afternoon

Actually I do. I've watched it all week. LSU folks have whined all week about being too scared to go anywhere near the swamp. I understand. After losing at Auburn, I wouldn't want to go on the road again either.

You know like as in a girls name. Because you know they have vaginas. You know like the Florida athletic department.

Straining at gnats and swallowing camels. That's this board in a nutshell. Everyone knows the truth of what transpired with LSU bending over backwards to make this work and UF dragging their feet until the 11th hour. They just want to keep hammering the square peg into the round hole until it fits.

a-hole still raw from that arse whipping huh?

Is the same AD who's tried to end the UF series the last several years because it's unfair to play such a hard team? Please. This is on the SEC for not demanding both teams work this out.

This has never been an issue of LSU not wanting to go to Florida. Im not sure if you are trolling or not, but you are clearly misinformed. LSU wanted to play this game no matter what it was going to take. Florida did everything it took to not have a game. Simple as that. LSU was open for saturday night, sunday, or monday in Gainesville. They were open to moving the game ANYWHERE that Florida was open to. Could have been in Gerogia next door to Gainesville.
