There may a few teams that have only 1 conference championship in a 16-year span,....but I don't think too many programs would claim 1 championship in a 16 years their "best years".

Hopefully a byproduct of Les but we won't really know for a year or two.
Still, don't overlook the fact that pretty much all legitimate rankings of historical programs put LSU between 8-12 nationally and no worse than tied for 3rd in the SEC, probably just another championship away from passing TN for second.
So 110 programs would love to match LSU's underachievement.

you would be hard pressed to find 5 teams since 2003 that have had a better 14 years. Georgia not even in that conversation so your opening remark is foolish.

The bad period was really 97-2007, where a series of poor coaching decisions and ncaa issues took its toll. Still, Bama cranked out 3 x 10+ win seasons and an SEC title.
Yes, I think lots of teams would take that down time.
'93 is too early, primarily because one of the best Bama teams to never play for a NC was the '94 squad. 1 pt loss to UF in SEC CG from going undefeated and getting a chance to play Nebraska.
Would have been a Bama-LSU Game of Century pt 1 type of slobber knocker... only with better FG kicking.
