honestly

if he kept chavis

he'd win there. i think pound for pound he's a better coach than les. i'll be god damned of nutt ever puts an o line on the field as shitty as the one lsu has. that's just not gonna happen.

I have a PHD in houston nutt lol.

he's not a bad coach. he really isn't. he just has certain character flaws that prevent him from being successful in certain situtations

anyone who knew nutt, knew ole miss wasn't gonna work beucase he has to compete with miss state for in state recruits. the reason he was able to maintain... decen tteams at arkansas for so long is we don't have to complete for instate talent. every few years a d mac or a matt jones or a mitch mustain would come along and he'd build the offense around them or at least try to.

lsu is similar. they will lose some recruits to bama, but he will be able to field extremely talanted teams by just cherry picking in state recruits. that's up his alley he can do that all day long.

his other flaw is his inabilty to trust anyone to de elop a QB but shite you don't hav eone now lol so i don't see a difference.

if you gave him a lights out D cord at lsu he would be salty

If Les Miles could still recruit, Houston Nutt could run the ball to les' liking. Nutt as an offensive coordinator might work under Miles.

He's a horrible coach. He couldn't win the SEC with McFadden, Jones, and Hillis in the same backfield.

He went to Ole Miss, and destroyed their program. All he had to do was win 6-7 games a year there, and he could retire as a god. What did he do? Once his recruits came in, he couldn't win one SEC game.

That's horrible coaching. Although I give you this, he would be a better hire than John L. Smith. Everyone in the entire civilized world saw that clusterfrick coming, except for Arky admins and Arky fans. You should have had a PHD in clusterfrick hires. Maybe could have helped out your team with that.

This is a fabulous idea. The Nutt family is super classy. You can't ask for better people. I think LSU would be lucky to have them.
