This "excuse" is getting so old. You legitimately think your PROFESSIONAL coaches, who are paid millions of dollars to coach, and your highly skilled/trained players somehow OVERLOOK any SEC west opponent? And on top of that, an SEC opponent that has more often than not given you a damn good game, and beaten your team several times?!

So basically what you're saying is that either:

A. Your excuse is full of shite because you can't think of any other reason to lose to poor ole Ar-Kansas on a regular basis

-OR-

B. Les Miles is truly a shitty coach and doesn't properly prepare his team for a game that will most likely be one of the most challenging games of the season

So which one is it? If you legitimately believe the shite that's spewing from your keyboard, you need to seek professional help or stop following sports.

LSU rushed the field after beating a team that rushed the field.

Garret Ueckman, former tight end, died at the age of 19 five days before the LSU game that season because of a heart condition. Les Miles attempted to reach out to Petrino by phone shortly after hearing the news to offer condolences, but did not succeed in contacting him. LSU proceeded to run up the score 5 days later, 41-17. I'm pretty sure LSU scored a touchdown with a few minutes left in the 4th quarter with the game already sealed, and BP took offense to that.

"This time the Hogs were nearly two-touchdown underdogs, but had pledged to play passionately in memory of late teammate Garrett Uekman, who'd died last Sunday. Coaches wore black ribbons on white shirts, and tight end Austin Tate changed his jersey number from 87 to Uekman's 88."

No, it is called hyperbole, we would not rush the field against ULM or McNeese. The fact that you can't recognize it as such tells everyone all they need to know about where you view your program

1. Alabama- cause they're on top
2. Auburn- if anyone else noticed- for the last decade and a half it has been one of the best games in the country
3. Texas A&M- moving up fast... and unlike the other two---- I dont respect them or like them

I have never seen a fan base so excited about getting beaten as Ole Miss is about last season's loss to LSU.

who the hell cares. I feel like its a revolving door depending on the year, whos up/down, etc. Those auburn/LSU games with tubbyasstomerville were some of the best I've seen(when bama was poop). More recently bama/LSU and aTm just because they want it so badly its so sweet when they keep getting beat. Throw the saban/LSU/bama 3-way in there- bam! instant rivals. some rivalries are more traditional and obvious like bama/auburn, but personally I think everyone, especially in the west -these- days is a rival, and they all have a history and legit reasoning to be so if you go back 2 years or 20.

I think the OP meant rivals in the traditional sense, and I understand that, just my 2 cents.

It's fast approaching men, I wish you all great misery and defeat.

Biggest Rivalry or most hated

Rivalry-wise I say Ole Miss, A&M, Florida, Arkansas.
Hate-wise it's A&M, Ole Miss, Florida, Arkansas.

Its not a joke LSU has no rival other than its own fanbase.

This is the truth. If it wasn't, there wouldn't be a need for this thread.

What's amusing is that the school listed #1 the most is Ole Miss, who has basically struggled for the better part of 50 years. It was probably a great rivalry before then, but who here is old enough to remember that? Still, rushing the field last year is proof that LSU considers Ole Miss it's biggest rival.

They won't consider Alabama, Florida or Auburn rivals, because these are "respectable losses". Which is funny, since LSU's record against them is nearly the same as it's record against Arkansas since 2000 (9-6 vs. Arkansas and Auburn, 9-7 vs. Alabama and 8-8 vs. Florida).

If it wasn't for David Bazzel, there would be no LSU/Arkansas rivalry. Since Bazzel's good-will gesture, Arkansas fans have switched their focus from replacing Texas with Tennessee, to replacing Texas with LSU. Our annual eagerness to play Texas went unfulfilled after joining the SEC and we needed a fix from somewhere. LSU fans responded by pretending that Arkansas doesn't matter, which they continue to do to this day. Although the schools have played around 60 games, the majority of those were before WWII, so again, not many around here are gonna remember them. I've been watching college football since 1975, and the first Arkansas/LSU game I witnessed was in 1992, so count me among them.

Some consider A&M the perfect rival for LSU, since they're so close, but proximity isn't a necessity for rivals. But like with Arkansas, most LSU fans like to pretend that A&M doesn't matter, which in all likelihood, means they do matter and they matter a lot. Such knee-jerk reactions are common with LSU fans, but that's what you get when a fan base thinks it's either too good to be your rival, or not good enough.

Listen up Auburn, Ole Miss, A&M and Bama fans. You're not the only one's who think this.

Also, probably around 10% of LSU's students are from Texas. That's part of the reason for the hate of A&M.
