How many teams in the SEC this season have wanted to get blown out so they can try to fire their coach? We seem to be the only one doing it right. The rest of you keep winning and screwing it up.

The worst home loss in our history was against Oklahoma in 2008 (66-28).
That means LSU needs to do two things:
1. They need to win by 40 or more.
2. They need to shut us out.

The difference is that Les was competent enough to take the gift when it's given to him. Sumlin will find a way to fail at that.

Is this consensus that Sumlin is fired if he loses to LSU? Isn't Rumlin's buyout absurd? I figured he had one more season. Might as well, chad morris isn't leaving SMU this season

Tables will be turned this year. Ags win, sumlin carried off on shoulders of players, and sumlin/mazzone given 5 year extenssions.

The consensus is that he should have already been fired and yes, his buyout is absurd.
He won't be fired for losing to LSU unless they win and break the 45-year streak of A&M not being shut out at home and even then it would also take a loss to UTSA next week AND a loss in a bowl to t.u.

Hahaha...damn, that loss yesterday has completely turned the aTm fans on Sumlin. His problem is that he peaked too early with Johnny Football. aTm finished ranked once in the decade before he got there and won one bowl game. He has won 3 bowl games and finished ranked twice in four seasons (including a top 5 finish). So he has actually done good job, but when you start off like that and then fall off of the wagon every November afterward, I completely understand the fan frustration.
