Looks like the other tweeters forwarded the messages to ESPN

He brought it on himself. Maybe he'll think before he tweets following the next loss

So you don't see where someone who works for a worldwide sports network like ESPN shouldn't exercise some journalistic integrity and perhaps a little class when critiquing college kids? Or better yet, that's it's a bit of an issue when they don't considering they represent a major brand?
Half the problem with sports journalism today is hacks like that guy who thinks it's cute to talk shite about a bunch of non-professional athletes from behind a keyboard. I'm sure we've all seen worse. That doesn't lessen the amount of bullshite surrounding his tweets.

Over the top for a journalist, maybe, but as he mentioned, he's not a columnist any more, so he's got more leeway. Players are young adults, but they are still adults. They get a free education and lots of attention, not to mention an opportunity to vault themselves into a lucrative career in the NBA. I don't think they have to be handled with kid gloves. LSU absolutely stunk up the whole state of Pennsylvania, if not the entire northeastern United States, with that pathetic performance. They deserve whatever criticism they get. Probably more.

if we're just talking professionalism then yes, the dude overstepped, but half of espn's employees seem to say stuff just to get feathers ruffled.
i obviously don't think it's nearly as outrageous as you do. i also don't think lsu fans would think it was outrageous either if it wasn't about their team, in fact, there would have probably already been 5 threads started on the subject by them if it was another sec team instead.
plus, it's not like he told lsu fans to kiss his arse or anything.

But he's still a journalist and should practice professionalism in all aspects. Including his ESPN twitter feed. If he wants to spout out personal opinions he needs use a separate account. Then he's just another angry LSU fan

Belle stated it above, but sports journalism is devolving into only a slightly better medium than fan message boards. Personal attacks, name calling, ect should not be accepted at any level whether it's college or pro. No one has said players are above criticism but a good writer is able to do so without devolving into juvenile tactics.

The pure venom in Chin's comment suggests a personal investment and perceived betrayal by LSU toward the Former "columnist".
That over the top critique being echoed suggests an unhealthy fanaticism usually seen in violent, angry people.
Moral of the story. IT Is SPORT!

So you're saying he posts on the tiger rant

You don't think saying "They are dogs. The whole lot of them." is a problem for a so-called professional? That is a ridiculous statement about any team.

Apparently Ching is a closeted, full-fledged, died in the wool, LSU FAN attic. I'll pray for his recovery.

These two idiots are both sections of bloody skunk colon plop.
It's not like they missed all those shots on purpose. Sometimes when there is extreme tension the more and harder you try, the worse you get.
Some of the Tiger players were extremely nervous near the end. You could tell. They were shooting the ball with very shaky hands.
They're only human for Chrissake.

He should man up and come address the team in person along with their families. Another loser hiding behind social media-
