Despise LSU? Not a chance. I had the greatest time in Baton Rouge. Most hospitable people I've ever met at an away game. I cheer for y'all because I want a 1-2 matchup every November.

I have told everyone I've had the best time. I didn't run into any assholes the day of the game (Bama or LSU). So I was probably lucky. But besides a few harmless Tiger baits I was welcomed with open arms. We found a random tailgate and made friends with the LSU owner. He fed us and filled us with beer and liquor until we couldn't do it anymore.

We sat in front of LSU season ticket holders. Mutual respect around. We cheered. They cheered. Shook hands at the end of the game and said how we just witnessed one of the best games in recent history. Great time.

Just because we are hospitable toward y'all doesn't mean y'all are towards us when we come to Ttown.

My tailgate has welcomed any Tiger or other fans every weekend.

And to say I've dealt with arse hole LSU fans in Tuscaloosa is an understatment.

ETA: And in NOLA, oh man.

Good to hear. Just gotta ignore the idiots from both sides and have a damn good time.

It was my first time in BR this year, plan on returning in two years.

You know why? Whether you decide to believe it or not it's become a rivalry due to all that has happened.

Hell yeah it's a division rivalry. Doesn't mean I despise them. At all.

Is it a traditional rivalry? No.
Same level as Auburn/Tennessee as a year round rivalry? No.
Situationally a "bigger" rivalry game? Yeah. Lately it's become a meaningful game. Making it perceived as a bigger rivalry game.

I don't despise LSU or hold the same feelings as I do towards UT or AU fans. Come LSU weekend I am ready for the game because it's for the SEC West and NC implications lately. Tennessee week (I'm from TN) I start getting pumped to just beat the shite outta UT and talk some good ol trash to Vols.

Yeah, but considering I've lived in Birmingham for the last 6 years very few Alabama fans don't hate LSU. When it comes to LSU we don't really have traditional rivals, we just hate who our current competition is.

I think Bear Bryant kinda did that a while back.

Maybe so. Most of my friends (just graduated Bama this month) don't hate LSU. Feel pretty much how I do.

So you shouldn't hate your rival?
