You were previously protesting the possibility of it being played in Gainesville on Saturday due to player safety, but seem to be rallying behind this tweet

quote:

Jacques Doucet ?@JacquesDoucet #LSU offered to play Sat/Sunday/Monday either in Baton Rouge or Gainesville. #LSU had secured hotels in BR + NOLA. Even offered #LSU plane

So LSU was fine with playing the game Saturday in Gainesville and risking the safety of the fans and players, but the SEC or Florida stepped in to call it off? Shouldn't you be thanking them for making the right call here?

LSU fans who saw that tweet have mostly mentioned Monday as the best option. In Mobile, Gainesville, or BR.

you tell us, UF fans and others on here were the ones calling LSU pussies for citing player safety

only now somehow UF is afraid of the logistics, damage, etc., when it was known to EVERYONE that it would be an issue?

cuts both ways here.

We were saying the game should be moved because a hurricane was hitting.

Everybody else was saying the weather would be fine and we were just melting.

This is all on Florida. You're reaching if you try to see it any other way.

Every reason Foley gave at his presser about Fla. not being able to get to B.R. ...S.Carolina made happen last yr, same exact circumstances. LSU offered on Tue & again on Wed. Foley dragged it out till late today, Thursday & then claimed it was too late to change.

Don't know why an Aggie is saying this but I see your argument and I'll raise you this--

quote:

LSU was fine with playing the game Saturday in Gainesville

UF was fine with keeping it there all week and was not afraid of a "tropical storm". "We know how to handle a hurricane," they said.

exactly.

why is it only NOW that they're afraid of it? people were literally screaming for action to be taken, yet UF's admin brushed it off and took on the mentality of its fans didn't think anything of it.

it's only now that they are staring straight at Matthew that they are afraid of it, knowing full well EVERYONE told them to expect the worst.

You taco boys are being really ignorant. Keep your butt in Mexico. You don't have a clue to what is going on over here.

What if the storm is devastating and recovery is still in full swing on Monday? Seems irresponsible to wait until then and possibly end up canceling it anyway

There was no other decision than to cancel this game on Saturday and the SEC should be commended for that decision.

I would have like to see it tentatively scheduled for Monday but more than likely emergency medical staff, power companies, etc would be working along the coast so don't even bother. What if a player of coach has a family member injured friday night? C'mon folks. This is a Cat 4 hurricane and we dont know how its gonna behave.

People are upset but there was no other answer to this question but to cancel it. People saying that florida or the SEC screwed them have got it backwards. They did what was best for all parties.

bro, that's been known for a week. EVERYONE knew damage is going to be extensive. Mon/Tues/Wed - we knew it.

but guess what UF said? Game on, still playing in Gainesville.

All fans want to see their team play dumbass

Should have been moved earlier period

Florida was stubborn

LSU HAS MOVED A HOME GAME IN THE PAST NO ISSUE TO GET THE GAME IN

THERES NO EXCUSE FOR THIS

A 2nd straight season we have one less game

It sucks and you'd hate it too

Florida certainly waited too long to act, just saying that this was the right move once we got to this point. Plenty of your fans are lashing out at UF for refusing to play it Saturday-Monday though which just seems hypocritical given the attitude yesterday
