Orgeron will out work and out recruit pretty much everyone in the league. The only question is how long will it take for questions to come up about his tactics? In the current NCAA environment...I think that it is well worth the risk of having Ed O on your staff...and I didn't even mention that he is an excellent position coach.

6-2 in this century and the last one was 38-7 not 16-14. Like many SEC teams, LSU has a winning streak going against the Vols.

I'm sorry, and you bring what to the board besides constant trolling, shite stirring, or otherwise just generally terrible threads?

You should drive down to BR and go ask coach O is he playing nicely. I'm sure he'll take off his shirt for you.

Sort of like some of those old series records where Sewanee still leads someone. Tennessee vs LSU is a virtual dead heat since JFK was elected in 1960.

But enjoy those Beattie Feathers and Bob Suffridge days. You boys did indeed own LSU in the 1930's and 1940's.

Actually, the wonder to me is why it took so long for him get hired at LSU. He's pretty much a natural fit here. This is, after all, his native state.

He's been doing great in the short time he's been here. A change was needed and welcome, and the players seem to practicing with added fire.

Great move by Les to hire him IMHO.

LSU's compliance office won't let him fart wrong while he's here and if he does, they'll be all over it before anyone else gets wind ( ) of it.

+1

The NCAA's impotent these days - all programs should be wideass open to blaze the recruiting trail anyway they wish. Ed is a great coach and recruiter.

You know O must resent Steele for being the DC.

Yep, and Butch is going to get run out of Knoxville as soon as people find out he's been sucking his players dicks for motivation. I'm sorry you can't see this.

...or maybe you have.
