There is a certain twisted logic to this. I just find it funny when some fans cannot acknowledge they get breaks. Every team gets them. Every team also gets the shaft from time to time.

Fans generally complain about the officiating only when they lose, right?...right! Now, what team do more teams lose to than any other team?....YOU CAN GET IT-COME ON!.........RIGHT!!! YOU GOT IT!!!!....it's Alabama, so....
As an LSU fan, I reserve the right to complain bitterly, win or lose.

Well you do because you're one of the reasonable LSU posters. Most of the others, not so much.

Not until you admit there is a conspiracy and that refs were paid to ensure LSU beat A&M.
The phantom PI call would make that absurd.

The moment I saw it happen I thought of that play with PP. And yes, even if we got the TO we were playing like hot garbage all day. No guarantee we could have done anything with it.
Have to say, the horrible (horrible) officiating took most of the fun out of that game. Particularly that ejection for targeting. Hate that rule. And what was going on when AJ fumbled, LSU recovered, early whistle, so we replay the down? Have you ever seen that in your entire life? Bottom line, feel sorry for Aggie because they played to the whistle. Wish it would have been decided on the field.

I'm not. The OP is just stupid. I think it's funny. Pathetic but funny.

This same argument could be applied to PP's pseudo-interception a few years ago; had the interception been awarded back then, there was no indication that LSU would have been able to do anything with it. LSU folks don't see the simarity in these points, though .
Totally different situation. There was A LOT of time left in that game. And, pseudo interception? Really? He had both feet down and control and you could see it in real time not to mention the replay! It was plain as day. No question about it. Again, who knows what could have happened?
We never said for sure that LSU would have definitely won the game. But, with half the 4th quarter left, it could have made a difference.
It is also hilarious that you are bringing up a game 5 years ago to make your point. You could mention the game 3 weeks ago and the ridiculous personal foul on Alexander and you would make a lot more sense.

It is not 'totally different.' It is the exact same argument...there was no guarantee that LSU would've scored had they even been given the ball at that point in the game. The remaining amount of time in the game is meaningless - LSU folks insist that that non-call cost them the game.

Thanks for agreeing with me (see above).

I only brought it up because I have seen a LSU poster bring it up once or twice this morning. The irony of that struck me as funny.
And you're still melting. Sweet.

There were bad calls on both sides. A&M should not have assumed it was a free play and threw it up. Intercepted. Ballgame. End of story

It was a terrible no call. Every LSU fan I have seen on this board admits it. It doesn't mean that A&M would have won, though. They still had 50 yards to go in 1:15 to score a TD to win. LSU might have gotten an INT on the next play. The FR QB should have seen a flag before heaving it. He just assumed. Big mistake.
But, yeah. Terrible no-call. What are you arguing about?
So, we'll never hear about the PP7 non-interception again, right?

First of all, the offside was not a "terrible" no call. He was offsides but they had to show it several times in slow motion and even then the commentators admitted it was close. In real time it had to be harder to get the call correct. Unfortunately, you can't review a no call.
The PP7 interception WAS reviewable and everybody in America saw that he came down with at least one foot in bounds,....even Bama lover Gary Danielson.....and we still got screwed.

Bad call.
LSU dominated the game, and aTm was the beneficiary of two BS pass interference calls.
I don't feel bad. LSU is better than aTm. Period.

It was most certainly a blown no call. We can't fix that just like we can't fix bad calls that don't go our way.

Wasting your time trying to explain it to a Bammer. They have the reputation they have for a good reason.

Bama is playing their biggest rival tomorrow with a spot in the SECCG on the line and all y'all can do is make threads about LSU.

A missed no call, but just as with LSU's Patrick Peterson's Int at Bama, if ATM gets the call..
There is no guarantee they are going down the field for the winning TD..
But, so many in the LSU fanbase back then, as with ATM's fanbase now, will make themselves ill assured that there was no doubt they would've gone on to victory.
BIG What If.
