From our local paper in BR...
quote:

With a lot of the same players back, LSU's new defensive staff will have to improve a unit that allowed 34 points per game against Power Five teams.

They better have gotten better. Daniels and Nabors aren’t walking out of that tunnel to bail the defense out.

LSU will win a lot of games if they can hold teams to 24 points.

Truth. Will be very interesting to see the dynamic of the team and which side of the ball will carry the other. In a lot of ways these kinds of seasons are more intriguing to me than when we are expected to make a run.

Has BK really changed the culture of the team? Has he really built something that can be sustainable even with new coaches and new starters? Is this program ready to take the next step beyond a 10 win season (9 regular season wins)? I'm super pumped to find out the answers.

If Kelly doesn't sign some DTs from the portal in the spring it can absolutely get worse.

A lot of Alabama folks (including me) feel the same way about The Tide's upcoming season. Hell! This makes it all fun!

I can't imagine what it's going to be like when the first sign of trouble hits in Tuscaloosa.

This statement is both laughable and encouraging

I can remember a lot of us saying the same thing about Bo Pelini.

Hopefully Baker is allowed to assess the personnel, and run schemes they can play in.
As I understand it, this is what happened to Pelini. He was mandated to run X no matter what, and then he didn't even have a good look at what he was working with until fall practice. He did have that mid-season statement saying we didn't have the guys to run the schemes we were running, but that O told him to do so anyway.
