If LSU does fire Les, a bad hire could be a monumental setback for the program. You don't pull that trigger unless you've got a home run hire locked up.

What had Hugh Freeze done before he was hired as ole miss HC? Just curious. I heard he was a high school coach not that long ago. Seems to have worked out ok for ole miss. Not really GREAT, but good for a high school coach.

Just didn't see people talking about the cost of hiring a new staff. LSU could very well be paying the buyouts for two head coaches.

LSU is elite.

There's no way you'd be content with such a mediocre hire, especially if someone as qualified as Joe Alleva (not Archie Manning) was pulling the trigger.

He won the sunbelt in his first year as an FBS head coach. I don't think freeze is that much better than Miles, and I actually think that LSU should go that route if they fire Les. Go out and get Tom Hermann, Justin Fuente, or Larry Fedora from UNC. Young guy with a future.

I'm pretty sure that's LSU's mindset right now anyways. Judging by how our BOD and Alleva have been acting, this has been in the works far longer than we initially thought.
