To be completely honest, I'd like a bigger band wagon as well. If we had the entire state of MS up our arse the way LA is up their arse, we might have a better facilities and more money to wave in front of that badass QB we want.
I'd still mock them heavily in public and cast dispersions about them on the boards, but secretly I'd be thankful.

We have no in state rival and the Saints are nothing to get excited about. Let us have one more 7-5 season and the Hornets gear will be sold in every convienent store across the state.

I can't stand mediocrity and I would hope that the rest of our fan base was with me. If we are satisfied with "almost" and "great effort" seasons, we might as well demote ourselves to the CUSA and be the big underachieving dog on the block. Jesus.
Our fans should care about 1 thing and 1 thing only. W-I-N!!!!!!!! Everything else comes with. Great coaches, picking the best physical and moral athletes, facilities, endowment, campus buildings, reputation, status. All that comes from winning. I know your uncle told you that if you want to be successful, you need to act and dress successful. But this is NCAA Div I football. Do what you have to win, and everything else falls in place. Not the other way around.

Yeah, I oversimplified it a tad. But still. There are plenty of rednecks in North LA, MS, AL, South TN, and East TX that we could pull into the fold. Dolla-Dolla bills yawl.
Hell, the Mid-West rednecks should be shopping new representation by now. Michigan = sucks, Mich State = sucks, tOSU = professional chokers, ND = blows. All aboard the OM express...
