And punishments will be handed out to a group of players and coaches who were not at all involved in the crime.

Wade and assistant will get show causes

By the way, how is Burroughs still on the football team after striking coach?

What's your guess SOG? I'm thinking two year postseason ban and some kind of scholarship/recruiting limitation for a couple years. Show cause order for Wade.

I don't think LSU is gonna get much of anything in terms of punishments effecting the future. Maybe 1 scholarship and/or 1 postseason? Penny and Memphis got nothing with the Wiseman deal. Arizona basically got nothing moving forward. Louisville got nothing. The IARP has been pretty light on future penalties for programs where the coach was fired.

I think Wade might (and Armstrong), but he also might get the equivalent of time served for his last 12 months plus half a season suspension and/or show cause. Can't imagine McNeese hired him without some idea of the possible penalties.

But it is still the same basketball program, and that's who they're seeking to punish. It's 2023, players or coaches can jump schools with a few internet clicks. For the record, my team went on probation for things some of my younger teammates did at the school bookstore, after I was gone I will say probation in a non revenue, equivalence sport is pretty much a joke.

Do they go out of their way to release this shite right before a big game every time? Seems orchestrated.

Coaches and players hitting each other has been going on forever. If JB is dismissed bc of it its just more pussafication of the game

Since the NCAA can only punish members, what else would you have them do?
Also, if you have not done the research to know that it may affect you as an incoming coach, recruit or transfer, then that is probably on you.
