North Carolina claims a title from 1924

And it's BS. Just like LSU's 1935 one. I have no dog in this fight but just saying. Kentucky could claim several but they don't.

Actually, we won one in 2008 or 2009.

It does seem every year we get this from them, and then they just aren't very good. I'm sure this is their year

I believe LSU will be the most improved roundball team in the SEC this season. BTW, the Tigers have won something like 11 SEC men's basketball crowns. How many have the Rebs won?

While Carolina's 1924 title is complete horseshite, it's at least a Helms Title, so it's more recognized horseshite than LSU's.

And I think UK will be the most improved team in the SEC this year from a regular season standpoint.

Lets welcome the Hogs back to the main board. I bet it sucked posting on the Arkansas board for most of football season. Basketball season here now, fresh start.

The AP National title was nationally accepted as a legitimate crown prior to the advent of the NC2a tourney. The BS lies in your observation.

Helms titles are "real", but shouldn't be included with NCAA Tournament titles.

When basketball fans talk about national titles, they're talking about NCAA titles, not anything else (unless otherwise noted). But I wouldn't expect an LSU fan to know that, so I'll let it slide.

All LSU Basketball needs to do is make the NCAA and it would be lagniappe.

We have 2 other sports to be good in, as well.

Must suck to be Arkansas

Tell us more about "teams cutting down NCAA nets".

i can tell you about the hogs cutting the nets in bwa for winning the sec outright the year they won it all- i was there, i was on the court, i had a sweet (it was fun then) gig being an usher here and there during those gravy seasons so i was there just a few feet away. very good times.

eta: yes, i'm old or the same age as most of the guys who played then- corliss, etc.
