ummmmm........not really a rivalry Jethro

I live in Arkansas and there is a commercial (I forget what they're talking about) where you see an LSU decal on a car and then some one runs in and covers it with an Arkansas one. It then goes on to talk about razorback football. Seems to me that you would put the team you consider your rival in that roll.

The game is also during a big rivalry week and has a trophy involved.

There needs to be some more classic, possibly controversial finishes to this game for it to start firing up the hate on both sides to become a rivalry

Did you miss the bullshite out of bounds call that went in LSU's favor last year? Can't get much more controversial than that one.

Answering his question about controversial call in the series. Pay attention.

Maybe a rivalry in a few years, i don't have anything against Arkansas myself. I guess people in North La. might feel differently.

Sometimes personal experiences turn these kind of match ups into rivalries. A family friend of mine dated an ex-razorback football player and the guy was the most annoying douchiest a-hole I've ever met. For the last 8 years I have despised everything Arkansas even though he hasn't been around for a few years.

So this is a game I look forward to more and more every year.

I went to the Wakarusa Music Festival in N. Arkansas last summmer and was actually surprised by the hatred being spewed by a lot of Arkansas fans (I had an LSU hat on the whole time.)

I figured it was one of those games that nobody on either side got too particularly worked up about, but these people had nothing at all good to say about LSU.

It probably didn't help that I told each and every one of them that I refuse to recognize Arkansas as a full member of the SEC until they win a championship game...

I grew up in Arkansas and have always been a huge Razorback fan. Now I live in Louisiana and all my in-laws are LSU fans so it is huge for me.

But the the Rivalry is still in its infancy. As along as we keep having close games and the games keep having meaning (division championships, Bowl placements, etc...) this could become a great rivalry in another 10 years.

Right now its more of just a great game with alot of importance.
