God damn some LSU fans are dumb. LSU wins two SEC games (1against a bad Florida team) and now they are ready to go to the playoffs.

Please go back to 2016 and look at the Big 10. That is all you need to know about how the playoff committee looks at conference champions.

Yes, go ahead and laugh at this post but just you know this is purely hypothetical. In no way do I feel this will happen as beating Bama in Tuscaloosa ain’t happening this year. That said, for shits and giggles.... let’s say LSU wins out and beats a #1 Bama at Bama and #1 UGA in the SECCG. Would the two losses earlier in the season be too much to forgive by the committee? I know most will be quick to bring up Penn St from last year....but they did not have a win over two #1 ranked teams and beating Bama is more impressive than beating Ohio St in the committee’s eyes. Thoughts.? Bored on a Tues morning

Hey wake up its morning!

Yes. Beating two No.1 should make you to the playoff.

I think so too.

Will be hard for a 5 loss LSU team to make the playoffs.

In what world does LSU with two losses to unranked teams make the playoffs? I can assure you its not this one.

If LSU wins out, they still won't make the playoff.

11-1 Alabama goes over 10-2 SEC Champion LSU. Ohio State/Penn State is the precedent for that. And that's all assuming LSU beats Alabama and Georgia.

If Alabama finishes 10-2, well then maybe there's some argument. But LSU would still be lower on the totem poll than pretty much every other P5 conference champion.

So in this far-fetched world where LSU beats daddy Alabama, no, we still don't make the playoff.

After Ole Miss beats LSU this weekend you won't even make it back into the top 25.

You heard it here first.

Yeah, just like we heard that Fla was going to skull-drag LSU around the field. UF fans need not comment about beating LSU.

I just want to beat Ole Miss this week and then focus on the next game.

Did you mean to say you want to just focus on beating Ole Miss and then skip the next game?

Bama will have us all in the fetal position by quarter 2.

I tell you what to do. Rent a van, grab your family and drive up I -49N until you get to Shreveport and watch the Tiger play in the Independence Bowl.

Even tho Moo State beat Tigers, I’d be willing to bet money we end up in a better bowl than Mullins boys and that it’s much better than Indy bowl. State caught this team early, good for them. But one team is trending up while another got hammered in back to back weeks. You did play some of the the best in conference though in those weeks. Good luck with Kentucky, Aggies, Bama. I think Moo State drops 2 of those.

Not much else is needed. But if you really are digging deep for a second reason. You got cornholed by Miss St. Not just beat. They didn't even spit on it. Listen to your fellow LSU fans laughing at you.

It absolutely won't happen (LSU winning out), but I'll go on record and say LSU would be in the playoff despite the loss to troy.

SEC champ would not be left out of playoff with 2 losses or less, despite who those losses came to.
