And before you protest Tenn fans: Dooley would have had top 15 classes every year at LSU. That is the difference between you and them, at LSU it is harder to fail.

Then why has Tennessee never reached the lows LSU had with 2/3 and 4 win seasons?

Is a bunch of five win seasons really better than 2,3,4 win seasons? I would argue the five win season might be worse, because after a 2 win season your coach is fired for sure. Five wins and you might keep the coach along with absolutely zero percent national relevance.

Odd thing to hang your hat on.

He likes Delaware. Haven't you ever heard of Joe Flacco? Jeez buddy, everyone knows his nickname is Tchoupitoulas, and they ran the "Wild Tchoupitoulas" while he was there.

I would disagree.

A never been never knows how good it can be. The appreciate smaller victories because that is all they know.

Meanwhile a has been has tasted better. Every minor success afterwards, like things the never been would be pumped about, just leave a bitter taste because they are a shadow of what once was. You can never be truly successful again because the bar got raised higher than you can reach.

I mean, there are over 100 programs in college football and only one wins a national title every year. And many of those winners have won before, so its not like they get spread around that 100+. For 80%+ of programs playing what we consider major college football the best they can do is never going to be on that level. Does that mean they can never have success?

The focus on national titles as the only benchmark of success is going to kill the broad popularity of college football. Sure its great to have a clear winner, but when you exclude too many from the process you lose buy in. Not to get political but that is why most American don't vote.

You only look stupid. Whether that encompasses caring about Delaware, even though you were just asking what team he pulls for, I have no idea.
