I guess it's hard for Manieri and co. to play soggy biscuit with noises coming from the State rooms.

Things got heated when Jacoby Jones shot at Katz's head.

Truth is, you know what you get with Cohen. He won't surprise you all that much. It's why State players love to play for him, and opposing players hate to play against him.

Exactly. Also, like it or hate it, that pitch accomplished exactly what they wanted it to while not even coming within two feet of Katz.

Serious questions cause I didn't watch that game: Did Katz or someone else showboat in some way prior to this? Had LSU beaned someone prior to this? Or did it appear to be done simply because Katz had been hitting really well? Exactly what did it accomplish?

Contrary to MSU posters opinions of LSU being pussies, it actually was a good example of MSU being a pussy because they couldn't keep the ball in the ballpark.

Katz was showboating on his homeruns.

Katz did a little pimping but nothing extreme. I think the biggest thing lost in this from the LSU fans casting stones is that Wes Rea was thrown behind in this series as well. LSU fans somehow seem to forget about that, probably because Wes and Cohen didn't throw a tantrum about it.

Yes.

No. But they hit Wes Rea afterwards.

Shut Katz down for the rest of the game after he lit us up in the first two.

None of it was a big deal until your coach and player took it to the media in the postgame press conference -- instead of handling it like men on the field.

We are dying to get another shot at you -- and have been ever since the series. Only one possible way that happens...

The other posters seem to think he showboated more than you do, so do you think it was just because he was hitting well?

I don't know what it was about, and I don't think he overly pimped the homeruns. I just think there was a lot of bitching about nothing. Graveman was clearly not trying to hit him, as the ball wend well behind him. I'd have a different stance if the ball had earholed Katz, but what actually went down was greatly blown out of proportion.
