LSU could go 13-17, barely make the NCAA tournament, then get on a hot streak and win it all, as could several other teams in the league. They aren’t as talented as last year, but the team with the most talent rarely wins the title.

Still a long ways to go and sometimes losing is the best thing to happen to a team and later proves to be the main reason that team was able to win a championship down the road. With a lot of new faces, you're always going to have times where you struggle. It is what it is!
I would rather struggle earlier in the season and learn how to handle adversity than win a lot early and then collapse like a cheap tent at the first sign of struggle later in the season.

Yes yes we understand we've let the natty slip through our gloves. LSU this year seems to almost have the bats and almost have the pitching. If they can step it up just a tad they'll be fine. Arkansas has the most elite pitching staff by a mile, if the offense ticks up just a tad we are the clear favorite, which means absolutely nothing in the CWS as we've seen.

And THAT would have brought your total to 1. You are not in the club. Great teams, for sure... Love to hate the coach, etc. But there is a glaring hole in you resume.. And beating last years champion, may help you fill that hole for a bit.. But not really.

And it’s the month of March. If Arkansas was as good in June as they are in March every year they would have won a title by now.
