La'el played two years at guard before taking over at LT. Not saying Toby would end up at LT or even RT, but it's been done & done successfully.

Obi did too. It can be done. I'm not saying it can't. I'm just saying Toby is not someone who will be able to do it. Your class was stacked. I think you missed on one guy. No need to take it personal.

I don't think he'll see it too much. Maybe 3 carries per game. Once he gets in his Moffitt form that will change. I hear he's not very strong and could be in better shape.

4 scholarship tailbacks. If he's hungry, he'll get some carries, maybe on ST too.

You will find out on November 28th. Most of them will be playing in the 4th after LSU is up by three touchdowns.

I tend to agree with this. We have a monster OL class coming in, but we were already very deep at that spot. With Hawkins, Vadal and Pocic all back and sure-fire starters, we can add the following upperclassmen to start the final two spots and as backups: Clapp, Brumfield, Mailman Jr., Boutte, Dodd (who saw a bunch of playing time last year), Domond (who also played a good bit last year) and Austin. For any of these true FR to get any PT behind that group this year, they'll have to be incredibly good, and maybe one or two of them are out of George Brown, Maea, Chidi, Toby and Adrian Magee (who tends to get overlooked).

But as you mentioned, the D-line is where one of the two true FR can make the most impact. We do have Bower, Neal, Sione and Deondre Clark for the two deep at DE (and wherever Bain fits in given his recent escapade), and I think we're pretty set at DT even with the two recent losses (here's hoping the light finally comes on for Gilmore and Herron). But I think Key and Washington at DE can and will get on the field given Coach O's penchant for rolling guys in and out.

Toliver ought to see a bunch of PT this year at CB behind and maybe ahead of Ed Paris as the year plays out.

For Donte, I'll be interested to see how he gets on the field this year. On offense, most likely he'll be jet sweep guy. He'll be on the return team, and may be THE return guy. He also has a chance to get some PT at CB. We have a solid three to four at that spot, but he could add some serious and much needed depth there if he can be good out of the gate, especially with Dwayne Thomas joining Bain and Jennings for Operation: Retrieve Stolen Items.

Donte Jackson weighs 155-160 lbs, he has to get bigger.

Impact at their position?

Toliver and Guice

Jackson is going to be a returner if he proves he can hold onto the ball to Les in practice.

He's fricking electric.

RBs:
Fournette
Williams
Guice
Ducre
Brossette

I guess NB will get some carries, but I just don't think he cracks into serious contention for a ton of carries. I think Guice might be #2 by the end of the year though.

Jackson, Chark & White will all get a shot long before him.

David Ducre is probably in the best spot to start at fullback. I'm honestly expecting Tyron Johnson to start in the slot by the end of the season as well. Weathersby and Guice will probably get some playing time too.

On defense, tolliver and donte Jackson will probably see the field a ton on nickel and dime packages. Arden key will probably play a bit too since we don't have the best depth at DE. Donte Jackson will be an animal on special teams too

I always wonder if people actually have a personal relationship with somebody on the staff when they say stuff like this

Dude ran a 10.30 in the 100m and completely dominated in the army game at corner. He's too good not to see the field next year

Yes, I guess I talked out of my you know what on him. It seems like I remember seeing him in more games than that. It was his first year in the system last year, wasn't it? Maybe he can get some more time in this year.

Jackson is probably around 175 now

He ran a 4.2 hand timed 40 at LSU's testing day today

Johnson, Toliver, Guice, and maybe Jackson.

Everybody(i do as well) thinks Jackson is a lock at KR but Miles decision making lately has me expecting it will be someone else.

FB David Ducre (already on depth chart pushing for #1)
RB Derrius Guice (dominated All American game from WR)
RB Nick Brossette (we always play 4 RBs if we have them; this guy is good too)
WR Tyron Johnson (don't need him, but he's that good, top player in LA)
TE Hanner Shipley (not a sexy pick, but he is essentially an OT who moves like a TE, he will play/destroy linebackers)
OT Toby Weathersby (of all the linemen, he's my pick to play early)
DE Arden Key (could help generate pass rush)
CB Kevin Toliver III (already on depth chart pushing for #2)
DB Donte Jackson (should see time at nickel but maybe also RB? -- fast fast fast)
