The state of Louisiana has as much to do with having a pro sports team as Germans did with bombing Pearl Harbor. It's all geographics. You can't go without a sport's franchise in the Gulf. NO is the only logical fit.

I can't really say that I know or care, but I'll guess aruond 2-3 times and most of those came when Gameday was still worth watching.

Obviously not as good as LSU's, after you guys just had the best decade in your history, while Arkansas has had the worst. It would be wrong to say that we "moved up several classes to the SEC", though. Historically, the SWC held it's own against the pre-1992 SEC very well. It's sort of funny how the conference improved after Arkansas and South Carolina joined.
