Curtis kids are 19 and recruited from all over the area to play against 150lb 2A kids.

Not true. Historically they have played in every classification from 5a all the way down to 1a. They beat the hell out of a team from Florida and if I recall they beat the shore out of the #1 ranked Hoover High Bucs from Alabama about 8 years ago.

Curtis is a football factory

The highest class ever for curtis was 4A. That's the same time Evangel was in 5A.

Curtis never played in 5A

They recruit

They used to hold back kids

It's a football factory

It's a mediocre school with below average academics for a private school in the area

Yes, I attended JCCS for 2 years

The difference is that Curtis kids can usually be counted on to qualify....Karr not so much.

So wrong. Prior to Katrina Karr was a city wide magnet school, since then it has become a charter school. Over the last decade Karr has had dozens kid play college ball and they all have qualified.

You're right. My bad. I just remember everytime my alma mater ( Capitol High) changed classifications, y'all followed. It pissed me off . We gave Curtis a hell of a game in the dome in 2000

St. Aug is a perennial underachiever. The talent they has year in and year out is outrageous, and they never seem to be able to put together a consistent season.

Edna Karr should win it all in 4A once again. They are immensely talented, as usual.

John Curtis is John Curtis. They are a machine. Regardless of whether or not they have a bevy of D1 talent, the system in place is so engrained into the minds of all the players, that execution comes second nature. I want to say that they have at least reached the state championship game (win or lose) for the last 15 years (don't quote me on that).
