Lou was genuinely pissed at the end, that's why he kept saying I'm serious and this is sincere. He usually fakes outrage on there but he's tired of doing that segment because he says Reece always sides with May.

And don't get me started on "bad television." That crap is rampant everywhere and far more the norm these days than it is the exception. Lou Holtz is the least of our worries when it comes to bad television.

I saw it live & if nothing else,Mark May's reaction showed it to be real. He was laughing his arse off & quickly ducked off stage as Lou sent the podium crashing to the floor. And Lou's face was red as a beet & he did say, several times, "I'm serious". What made his commments even more laughable was that he offered up Woody Hayes & JoPa as examples of coaches everyone thought was done & gone, noting that they each came back to win NC and/or restore their programs to prominence. What he left out was how both were fired and why. He's an arse.
