Wonder who they'll get to replace him.

Guy was there for 17 seasons.

... it's probably overdue for Vandy.

Should be interesting who they hire to replace him given the increased emphasis being placed on the sport in B-ham.

Kind of figured that was the case. He had some talent to make a run this season. He's just plateaued.

ETA: Wonder if WKU will make a run at him if Stansbury says no.

IMO, if that's the case they'll regret it.

If the rumors are true and Stallings is out Wade has to be the 1st guy called. He went to FRA in Nashville, grew up going to games in Memorial and his wife has a Vanderbilt degree. That said, he made with bonuses 1.2 mil this season (Stallings made 2.1, not great return on that investment) & he has a history with VCU as an assistant there as well. I doubt it would be an easy pull but he seems like the slam dunk choice of candidates out there.

regret what? firing a coach who can take them to the first round of the NCAA tournament once every 3-4 years so they can get spanked my a mid major (Murray State, Siena, Wichita State)? Hang the freaking banner! For christs sake. Why do you clowns think he is a good coach? Because he beat an underachieving UK team?

Oh, I don't know. Trips to the NCAA maybe?

In the entire 116 year history of your program, you've been to the dance 14 times. Kevin Stallings has been the coach for HALF of those trips.

I hope they keep stallings. They are a potential sleeping giant. If they can keep bringing in talent like they have been, and a fresh face comes in that can coach them they could be dangerous in bball

no way, a whole tournament appearance? I mean who cares if we never make it out of the first round, right? It's not like we're some SEC team with nba talent, no we should be content to join the UNC Wilmington's and Portland State's of the world with a token appearance every few years.

He's been good for Vandy. They won't do better.

To be fair, the tournament has only been around for 77 years.

Before Stallings they had Newton bring them to the dance 2/8 years, Fogler 2/4 years (NIT both other years and won it once)...and then Stallings 6/17 years.

He has sustained a decent program, but I agree they could do better. Sometimes it’s just time for a change.

Vandy can do better and I hope they do. I enjoy our rivalry.

I'd kill for this. Sometimes you don't know what you had until it's gone...

I think SLU is making a big run at him, once he's gone. Already in contact, and contacting Travis Ford was a smoke screen.

Stallings could win at SLU, Ford struggled in a BBall conference, with a war chest from Boone. He would be a horrible hire.

U know who would be a good hire for Vandy?

Bryce Drew from Valpo, it could be a perfect fit.

Johnny Jones needs to hire him and give him control of the offense
