Ole Miss has been a top 5 team the two years you mention.

Ole Miss finished #17 in the AP last year and finished 9-4.

Lane Kiffin

Because he was the one to call the defensive plays also... He put up a ton on a good Ole Miss defense.

Lordy. Don't make more out of this game than it merits. Sometimes things don't go your way. It is how you react after a loss that is most important.

They "played" a top 5 team.
End of the season rankings can factor a lot of things that go on throughout the season. For eg, one injury could make a top 5 team unranked.

Your fricking stupid. They lost to ole miss and still went to the playoffs. Ole miss Is at the peak of their program in talent and still could lose to others in the west. It was one game and doesn't mean shite. You should look around the SEC, you don't have to win every game to go to Atlanta. Ungrateful bama fans will send Nick packing if they start this kind of shite. Then you will really be back to the Sheila years.

This is the lowest the program has been since Shula's last year.

That's a bit of an exaggeration. Alabama has only one loss. Why not wait to see how the season plays out?

Alabama has definitely lost a step but saying "a program like ole miss" is kind of silly being that they have put some quality teams together recently.

Kiffin really is cursed against Ole Miss. He's now 0-3 against us.

Typically, it factors in whether or not they lost to other teams.

And won this game on turnovers. That's not an excuse - a win is a win, but offered to point out that, even at its greatest peak, Ole Miss had to have help and shite ton of luck to beat Alabama - two years in a row.

This score ranks up there with Kentucky's hail mary against LSU & Auburn's kick six TD.

Frick Bama but this is premature. Ole Miss is a talented team and got 2 fluke TDs, won the TO battle 5-0 and ended up barely winning...and I don't take anything away from them in this game. They won deservedly.

This is the first year QB play seems a bit down, but Alabama had several solid players at that position in a row. Recruiting has stayed elite.

I would love to see Bama return to their Shula/Dubose days, but is just not the case.
