7-9 wins and a bowl game depending on how the ball bounces

Some of you guys fail to realize the disproportion of resources that Mississippi State and Dan Mullen is using in recruiting as compared to Bama, LSU, and Auburn.
For what we have to work with Dan and his staff may be doing one of the best recruiting jobs of any staff in the nation. And the crazy thing is that they aren't done yet.

Hard to argue with that.

Saying that he couldn't recruit.
His current recruiting class is ranked 16th on Scout LINK (including 2 five stars) and 19th on. 247. LINK
Plus he has a chance to add three or four more Four star recruits to this class. It could end up being the best recruiting class in Mississippi State history.
Damn Bundy, can't leave well enough alone. What you trying to prove?

Dan's doing much better than I thought, especially finding some quality out of state kids. You're already at 25 commits, and therefore probably headed for some oversigning, which is fine. However, it will be interesting to see who doesn't qualify or how they make the numbers work.

We only signed 21 last year, thus the new 25 rule does effect us this year since 4 of our commitments are semester graduates/early enrolees so we are actually looking to sign 29 players in this class.

Won't know until signing day. We had a pretty solid class last year at this time as well.

Talking about recruiting rankings in December is like talking about RPI 2 weeks into the season...
Mullen isn't a very good recruiter (he does other things better coaching-wise). MSU will be 5th at best in the SECW recruiting rankings. So if you look at it objectively, that's really not that good.
It's nothing personal on Mullen (although I'm sure you'll take it as such).

i have no problem offering a kid that everyone knows is headed to junior college or prep school. spurrier does it a lot and often they make it back to SC. but recruiting rankings don't factor that in. (5 Star Jerrell Powe counted on 3 of OM's highly touted recruiting classes) recruiting ranking also favors quantity. but still, i think this is a good job by Dan.

The new rule doesn't go into effect until the Feb. 2012 signing class. Our guys signing in December count towards the class of 2011.

We have a 5 star in the bad as of next week. With the top JUCO defensive player in the Nation, as well as Siddoway, Holley, and a JUCO TBA
You think Ole Miss is going to get guys like Quay after the slandering that Yancy has been doing? You think Hugh Freeze is accomplished enough to switch our commitments????
