Was this the baby with the gun, or are they totally separate instances of poor parenting?

I think if you name your kid Krimson Tyde, the firearms pic is implied.

I'd have more respect for the parents if they'd used conventional spelling.

If a parent(s) is going to be so shortsighted & cruel by choosing such a name (e.g., Krimson Tyde) for a baby, why not just go w the actual Crimson Tide? Is one iteration "fancier?"

I try damn hard not to be judgmental; but the past few years have provided me w multiple examples that illustrate why there's a grain of truth embedded in most stereotypes.

Geez.

My daughter's middle name is Aubrey in reverence to Auburn. But it's because Auburn is where me and my wife met, and why my daughter is here...not because of a damn football team.

This. You aren't being cute, you are setting your child up for failure.

I call your Tequila and raise you a L-a through my roommate. If you're wondering about pronunciation, the lady herself announced "It's ladasha. The dash isn't silent." This is also from an Alabama resident of unknown fandom.

I'm starting to pity Alabama and Auburn for drawing from possibly the dumbest collection of sidewalkers in the SEC.

This is an urban legend...everyone's heard this story and it's not just based out of Alabama...not sure if it's true or not

Wow, why would someone do that to their child. That is really sad and funny at the same time but mostly sad for the little girl who will have to grow up with that awful name. Surprised they didn't manage to get Saban's name in there some how, maybe a play on his wife's/daughter's name.

What site did you find this from, ITAT?

Oh, don't get me wrong ... oodles of baby Kyles, Kylies, Kylas, etc. are running around The Great State. But those names (not unlike Aubrey) are pretty nondescript & innocent. Many alumni give a nod to their universities when naming their children.

But one day baby Krimson Tyde will hopefully have need to print her name on documents that matter ... some of which--right or wrong--could likely be competitive in nature. Suddenly, the imbecilic, local yokel nature of her name probably won't seem so "Roll Tide go Bama Bear Bryant is God houndstooth or die" cool.

I'm doing exactly what I said I shouldn't--passing judgment. Congratulations to the parents/family; and to each his own.

Wait, you start this thread laughing at these rednecks, but your daughter is named Aubrey after Auburn? Lol.
