Sounds like CJ will be the lone LB and LC will be the sixth DB while on defense.

From his radio show tonight:

-- The Aggies will play between four and five WRs a game, so Alabama will have only one LB on the field.

-- The spread forces Alabama to show its hand defensively and then they decide if they run or pass. "They're very perimeter oriented."

-- "If you don't play six defensive backs, you have to show them everything you're doing."

-- Landon Collins will be the sixth DB on the field.

Alabama has known about the story for months. They saw no issue playing him against Virginia Tech, why wouldn't he play Saturday?

Saban stated yesterday at his PC that no one on the team is effected by yesterday's Yahoo! Sports story. We've known about these allegations since May at the very latest and Stinson played in the game vs. Virginia Tech. If there was a problem we would have sat him back on August 31.

I was thinking about this earlier and think this is a great idea. It gives you so much flexibility without showing your hand. Bama is very deep at the safety position and with Geno being back this game helps a lot. I would imagine that Vinnie will spend much of the night in the box.

I would go small lineup too. Not saying it will work but I would give it a shot.

I think this means that we are satisfied with our front rushers this year.

They seemed to be getting pressure the first game. I'm hoping that continues without extra help.

How does that sound desperate? Under normal circumstances, Bama would be in the nickel. The only thing different, if they play this way, they are replacing a LB with a safety who can play in coverage.

Nice for Landon to work his way up to sixth db. Great player.

It had been said earlier that LC would play a lot in this game. I hope he does well.
