Up here on the Upper Left Coast, we're predicted to see snow on Monday morning (rare around here where we usually have the chilly rain that Seattle and Portland are famous for).
Headed to Montana for a week early tomorrow morning....flying into a real mess. Going from 70 high to 19 high and snow.

Where did you get this from? It's going to be in the 60s.

I provided the link in the OP. Something tells me one forecaster predicts the cold mass to drop to the deep south and the other does not.

The cold front will make it into Alabama on Thanksgiving Day, with temperatures falling through the 40s and wind chills near freezing. The next day is the Iron Bowl at Bryant-Denny Stadium. This could be one of the coldest Iron Bowls in a long time, at least since 2000, when light snow, rain, and sleet fell at times with temperatures in the 30s.

Well, that settles it. Auburn will win the NC. Hell is going to freeze over.

Cash is hard to hold on to with cold fingers. Advantage Bama.

Good thing the refs require payment in advance.

"I was there in 2000...miserable is being nice."

THIS. It was such a weird day weather wise. It wasn't forecasted to be unusually cold but a cloudy morning turned into light sleet falling and from about an hour until kickoff thru kickoff it sleeted about as hard as I've ever seen it sleet. The heavy sleet turned into a heavy cold a## miserable 37 degree rain.

That link shows it in the low to mid 30s but DRY. I can deal with that just fine.

He's a Bama weatherman, maybe he is just trying to stir things up? He provided a caveat:

quote:

Notice how fast temperatures fall on Thursday, with highs only in the 30s on Friday. It will also be windy, so if the models are right, wind chills during the game could be in the 20s! It’s still a week away, but we’ve been watching this setup for a week, and that much cold air over Canada, being so heavy, has to eventually spread out. It is possible that it will be more concentrated to our north and get pushed into New England, so we’ll have to see how good the models are. Stay tuned…

I was a fresman during the 2000 IB and it was the worst game I have ever been to in my life. To make it worse it was boring as hell too.

"The Weather Channel is showing 62 and 0% chance of rain."

The MTV of all weather sources. TWC has become a complete joke. Trust me, the guy linked by the OP has way more credibility. He's an ABC 3340 guy on James Spann's (weather legend in Alabama that called the March 1993 blizzard a week in advance) team. Those guys really know there stuff. Having said that, weather models past about 5 days are very fickle and even minor pattern changes can make a huge difference in the weather that day. If the NAO doesn't go as negative as models are predicting, the arctic air won't be able to penetrate as far south.

....and yes I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

Auburn. The old people between the 30s will be too cold and miserable to cheer.

Hopefully. I know the situation is different now in that bama is actually good this year but in that 2000 game at BDS the weather was miserable and alabama fans couldn't give tickets away outside the stadium.

Sort of like when you played West Virginia last year? Or most of your games in 2008?
