Chavis is the best DC in the country. Has been for 20 years. Congrats to TAMU for getting him. LSU fan butthurt has been humorous to watch the last couple weeks.

All of the recruiting has led to him shedding some pounds

Probably just saving a few bucks on groceries since aTm has yet to hire him due to his buyout squabble with LSU...

Stress and depression are two of the biggest factors in weight loss.

One thing I've learned about living outside of La. and traveling often is the definition of what others others consider to be great food and ours is obviously quite different.

If a travel agent were to give away a free trip of dining to New Orleans or Houston (or any place in Texas for that matter) to a thousand people from around the globe, how many do you think would choose New Orleans? Checkmate. Thanks for playing.

As for John Chavis and his weight loss, I don't think I would have much of an appetite for any food if I had just left the NFL factory for talent that is La. and LSU.

Most obese people look good when they lose the first 20 or so pounds. If he doesn't stop worrying about the lack of talent he has on the roster and the undisciplined approach to Sumlin and his arena football philosophy, he will look like the crypt-keeper next year.

I like John Chavis and appreciate what he did at LSU. I'm just afraid he is going to ruin his reputation and end up like his buddy (Phil Fulmer), unable to find a job at a major CFB program. All for a few hundred thousand dollars. How much is a man's reputation worth?

Well more people travel to Houston every single year (not free by the way) so I'm not sure what you're getting at when facts suggest otherwise. New Orleans and Houston both have great food, don't know why you are arguing unless you have never been there.
