Yep, every year we hear how this is LSU's year. I'd go ahead and get started early too. Might as well.

We should be more experienced, which should lead to better execution, which in turn should lead to better play and more wins but will it?

I certainly have my doubts that anything on the offensive side of the ball will change.

Currently LSU has the number one recruiting class in the country according to 247 sports and Rivals.

I will not be getting my hopes up for next season. 10-2 is the best case scenario.

Is that shite tier QB coming back? What about that 1980's offense?

Coker - 2775 yards, 19 TD, 8 INT
Henry - 2115 yards, 25 TD

Harris - 2165 yards, 13 TD, 5 INT
Fournette - 1953 yards, 22 TD

Bama played 2 more games then LSU. Try harder Cajun You are the shite show!

Notice the script "A" by my name? I'm far from a sunshine pumping LSU fan. Further, I didn't predict them to win the west, much less a playoff berth.

But for a canceled 'rent a win' game, they'd have won 9 regular season games this year and that was with shait-tastic Kevin Steele at DC.

They're returning a ton of starters, look to have a great recruiting class coming in, and have made a significant upgrade at DC. They also get their two most difficult games at home and the two teams that would otherwise look to be the biggest road challenges (Florida & Arky) will be looking to replace major components of their teams.

Anyone who can't look at all those factors and expect at least a modest improvement isn't being honest with themselves.

I don't know where you have heard this from because as an LSU fan I know for fact we thought there were many question marks coming into this season. A- QB and B - Steele as DC and no depth at DL. Get your facts straight bro!

Ok, taking in everyone's situation with returning players and coaching staff who would you predict to beat them?

OOC they play Wisconsin, Jacksonville State, Southern Miss, and South Alabama. Those are all wins.

Their SEC East opponents are Mizzou and Florida. I've already covered the UF situation, but to recap they have 5 players leaving early (6 if you add in Grier) and they weren't deep anyhow. Mac will have his hands full early on. Even if Mizzou isn't a dumpster fire, they're still going to be shoveling out the ashes and debris. Both those games are wins.

Now for the west.

Moo State couldn't beat Steele & Harris in Starkville with Dak and Manny Diaz. They certainly won't win in BR with whomever comes next.

Auburn. Need I say more? LF is still running. Win

Ole Miss & Alabama. LSU gets them at home, but these are still the games they're most likely to lose. Right here and now I'll predict a loss to Alabama. Ole Miss isn't as solid because they're losing some superstars but even if they drop both then they're at my worst case of 2 losses.

Arkansas. They play LSU tough, so they're a threat but if Collins does as expected and goes pro, they're losing a huge amount of offensive production. LSU should be better.

aTm. Nuclear level meltdown. I wouldn't be shocked if Noel Mazzone or John Chavis is interim coach by the time they face LSU.

All the pieces are in place for them to have a really good season next year. If they don't, then good feelings aside they MUST move on from Les.

That is how I see it too.

However, with a veteran team and getting both Ole Miss and Alabama at home, I think that they win one of those.

I am sure that LSU will go 10-2, but I cannot find the other loss. Arkansas again, I guess. That seems to be a regular thing.

Les Miles could have the New England Patriots roster and still go 10-2 at best (sans 2011).

If LSU can find a decent QB they could be scary next year.
