In keeping up with the theme of the thread, next year is the year for Auburn. We basically lose nobody except for a GT while picking up a stud point guard. Plus we have Pearl. I'm guessing the top four will be:
Kentucky
Florida
Mississippi State
Auburn

PS. Auburn brooms Bama again too.

According to Bama fans you have the most underachieving basketball program. Always on the cusp of more but never achieving it. You know, the very definition of underachieving.

If you're going to attempt to troll at least try to toe the company line. You're not very good at this, just a try hard

Plus a stud stretch player that can line up anywhere from 2-4. Okeke is actually ranked a little higher than Mitchell now.

Other than my prediction that you guy's would underachieve, what I stated was facts.

Bama is on the rise, trolling aside. But Petty and Sexton will have the same set of growing pains that Heron and Wiley had to go through this year. The offense should still be a ton better.

Auburn is still brooming Bama though.

I agree on the top 4 but Sexton has to be one of the best freshmen in the country for Bama to be third. If Sexton isn't ready to be the guy next year they will probably be in the bubble conversation with like 4 other teams. The only team we disagree on a lot is Tennessee. I love Grant Williams but I think they are gonna miss Hubbs a lot next year. Texas A&M is gonna be loaded next year but they were really loaded this year also. I can see them finishing between third to ninth in the conference next year.

Idk about that. It'll be easier to adjust with more upperclassmen around. Auburn didn't really have any experienced leadership around to guide our freshmen.

And Wiley should have been playing in the HS playoffs along with Petty and Sexton this year. And having a whole offseason to prepare for college is a little different than coming in straight from a HS game to having 2 practices before your first college game and then 2 weeks later going into conference play.

Tennessee really needs a couple of the freshman guards to step up. I think our front court will be pretty good with Williams, Schofield and Fulkerson and hopefully another step from Alexander.

The 3 is a real unknown with Johnson and Pons likely to get those minutes. Unlimited physical ability from both obviously.

They'd be lucky if Heron is the floor.

They probably aren't having Wiley type growing pains. True Big men have the hardest adjustment, especially w new rules. That's before you consider he enrolled mid year as a HS senior

I'm not ready to call MSU top 4 just yet. Howland was left a mess and I said it would take 4 years to actually make a big jump. We will be better no doubt but I think we still need another season under our belts. But who knows.

Lmao next year? Won't happen. Need one more season under our belts with new incoming recruits and then we'll talk. Next year is just a winning season.

this year we were pretty much like LSU football is every year, loaded but nothing at the most important position. that wont be the case next year.

UK, Florida, and Arkansas will be good again. South Carolina will have a tough time replacing Thornwell. I don't expect them to be bad but more like a 9-9 or 10-8 team than Top 4.

Alabama is the most likely to make that jump of that next group imo. They should still be good defensively, and their incoming class should immediately add some offense.

Auburn, UT, and Mississippi State will be interesting to watch. All should be significantly improved.

I'll also throw in A&M in as a sleeper. Williams is probably gone but their frontcourt should still be strong. If they can get more out of their guard play (Caldwell will be eligible) they can be a tournament team again.

I agree with all of this.

I think Grant Williams will be one of the best bigs in the SEC next year but where else do they get their scoring from is probably what determines what Tennessee does next year. I think State is probably a NIT team next year and are building that roster for a NCAA tournament run in 2019.

Some rational thought to this thread at last. I agree.
