Best IMO are Bama, Auburn, Ole Miss, UGA, and LSU.

Texas A&M - best.
Mississippi State - worst.

I've been to all of the SEC venues except for S. Carolina and the two newbies. Leaving those three out plus my own (Ole Miss), this is how I'd rank them:
LSU
UGA
Alabama
UT
Arkansas
Florida
Auburn
MSU
Vandy
Kentucky
LSU
UGA
Alabama
UT
Arkansas
Florida
Auburn
MSU
Vandy
Kentucky

College Station is a lot like hell, but grayer, dustier, and filled with a disproportionate amount of rednecks.

worst- starkville.
You prolly haven't been to Starkville in 5+ years. They've come on. It's one of the better places to tailgate now.
Best...outside of BR...UGA. Worst: Florida, because the UFPD and GPD are nazis.

I have only been to Baton Rouge for gamedays and conference games make for an exciting day and night...especially when we get bama and florida at home...I'm looking to plan an away game trip soon...if you had to pick one, what gameday experience would you choose?
As an LSU fan, I've been to almost all of the teams stadiums for gameday. Never once had a bad time.

Have you actually been to CS? If nothing else it is humid and not dusty and there really aren't that many rednecks. Some, but they are a minority. There are also 10 times as many people in CS than Starkville so I don't really get the smack talk there.
In my experience every school has their positives and negatives, just depends on what you like.
If you like unique food, raucous atmosphere, and don't mind being harassed as an opponent LSU is hard to beat.
If you like an Old South feel and a place where the game itself is kind of secondary to the event then Ole Miss is great.
If you like to see monuments to the glory of college football and the finest stadium around then Bama is for you.
If you like huge stadiums where they have lots of traditions and great history then UGA and UT are great.
If you like a stadium by the water with a cool atmosphere where people tailgate out of railroad cars then USC is awesome.
If you like a true college town with lots to do and a loud stadium then you will love UF.
If you are into a place with unique traditions, a fiercely loyal fanbase that is generally friendly to MOST visitors and a cool college town then Auburn is tough to beat.
If you like live music and partying in the city then Vandy is fabulous.
If you like a small college town where the fans are fiercely proud and loyal to their team even though they may not have all the bells and whistles of some other schools you will love State.
If you like the mountains, generally friendly folks, and a unique culture then Arkansas will make for a fun trip.
If you like basketball then you will like Kentucky.
If you like a more Midwestern feel with fantastic brats and a more old school college setting you will like Mizzou.
If you like a place where the folks are friendly, they take their traditions WAY too seriously, and there is a bit of an ode to the military along with beef bbq and Tex Mex, A&M is paradise.

Auburn was really great. The seats we had, the game atmosphere (not the outcome), the good natured ribbing before the game, and the gracious friendly folks after the game made it a memorable experience. I've always had a good time at Bama & Mississippi State as well.
Tennessee would have been top notch if it wasn't for the Knoxville PD.
Florida is bottom of the barrel fan interaction-wise, but good in the sense that it was a hostile and intense game environment in the stadium.

Yeah, no
Some rednecks, yes. Disproportionate? No.

Some people will always have their ignorant views of Texas.
Hell, A&M today, is 75% upper-middle class suburbia kids. Hell, there's more hipsters than rednecks these days.
Dusty? Hardly. Humid as frick? Yep!
Ask the Florida fans. They loved it here. You guys will love Northgate and the Tailgating scene. Kyle is an old dump right now, but its our old dump. In 2.5 years you will see a red brick facade stadium that seats ~100k.

I've been to every SEC stadium except A&M, Mizzou, Starkville and Kentucky
Best:
Stadium - Ole Miss. Great views/great food/fun fans
Tailgating - LSU #1 by a long shot but I like how Alabama has utilized the quad right by the stadium
Worst:
Stadium - Vanderbilt
Tailgating - Vanderbilt

This. Starkville has improved so much in the last 5 years. The atmosphere is amazing on gamedays.

My second cousin is an ME student at State and his Dad (my cousin) and I were going to meet him up in Starkville last year, but we couldn't cause it was a Thursday game.
I wish it would have been a Saturday because he talked a lot about the tailgating and stadium/campus improvements and I know I would have enjoyed it.
They're coming down to Red Stick in Nov.
