Yes, go to midnight yell.

Yes, you can carry around beverages on game day, but make sure its in a plastic cup around Northgate.

What you can expect: the friendliest opposing fans you have ever met. Aggies say Howdy to opposing fans as a rule. Everyone will be nice to you and you will have a good time. Girls in cowboy boots and sundresses was invented in College Station...enjoy.

That's what I figured, but it only takes a few who take offense to "insulting our honorable TAMU tradition etc etc" to cause trouble

I've wanted to do it ever since I heard the rumor that some Texas A&M fans came up to Fayetteville in the 1970s and painted a huge Texas A&M logo on the road along the Pig Trail. Of course, knowing our highway dept, it remained for years. All in good fun

Exactly like these Missouri fans with sticks up their asses in the other thread. You and I can have a nice chat and they have to flip out

Zero reason for a visiting fan to want to go to YelI. It's an understandably cool event for the underclassmen; so by default, they assume all others will find it just as entertaining as they do. You probably won't.

They'll be bashing your team (all in good fun), there won't be any refreshments there, so to speak, and none of it will make a lick of sense to you.

Midnight Yell Practice is a great tradition for young Ags; but it's just not something your average visiting opponent would enjoy. Save yourself the long hike/drive, and stay at wherever bar you are.

I disagree. Most opposing fans appreciate it. These Nebraska fans seemed to enjoy it.

And you pretty much just saw right there all that there is to see/do at Midnight Yell. It doesn't suck at all; I just can't imagine why/how a visiting fan would enjoy it/want to attend. To each his own--you'll certainly be welcome any place you choose to go in Aggieland.

I've never met a visiting fan who didn't enjoy midnight yell. I even took a good high school friend of mine who had gone to Texas Tech and he really enjoyed it.

I personally try to go anytime I can, but I haven't been able to attend a game at Kyle in two years as I'm out of state. I always really enjoyed midnight yell and never regretted making the decision to go out there, it's good fun.

For parking: If you're not interested in drinking in NG all night for whatever reason, there is parking across the street from Kyle in a residential area, you can park on the street and take a five minute walk, if you can't get in the parking lot on the south side of the stadium.

For this also, if you park your car on the street in the Southside neighborhood it should be fine to leave there overnight. I've done it several times and my car has always been there ticketless the next morning.

Oh absolutely--I always went to Yell as a student. But sometimes I feel like b/c we as Ags love our traditions so much, that we expect others will love em as well. I think it's safe to say that most opposing fans wouldn't be interested in leaving their much-sought after seat at a bar, only to go watch thousands of Texas Aggies practice our yells :). Then again, as you say, you've brought some buddies who've enjoyed it. To each his own, I guess! Hope everyone has a great night. It's going to be awesome, regardless of the game's outcome.

Go to Midnight Yell. You will enjoy it. If you want to do more drinking afterwards you can get back to Northgate before 1:00 AM and get another hour or so in.

I'd just walk from Northgate as that's what most people do.

As for drinking on campus, that is fine.
