There was a thread not long ago showing how hiring a Saban assistant wasn't a good idea.

How it seemed that ex saban assistants were bringing down SEC schools from the inside. That the only current exception to the rule was Jim McElwain

Anybody have a link to it?

Is this serious?

Ever heard of Jimbo Fisher or Mark Dantonio?

ETA: Ahhhh SEC. Regardless, his assistants have a decent track record.

Nope.

HCs:
Dooley:Disaster
Fisher:Good hire but Bowden taught him more than Saban about being a HC.
Mac: good so far
Muschamp: disaster is being nice
Dantonio: great
Haywood: ok for a Mac coach
Williams:Hahaha
Shurmur: asks a Brown's fan about him. Lol

DCs:
Sunseri: LOL
Steele: lulz
Pruitt: good

I mean I think offensive Saban assistants turn out okay so far but the defensive ones (excepting D'Antonio who worked his way up post Saban) fail and fail hard.

Meyer has already surpassed Saban in terms of a coaching tree with just Mullen, Whittingham and Addazio, if Herman succeeds as well its not even close.
