By the way, Ed Meek is who the journalism school at Ole Miss is named for. Per the Daily Mississippian there's already a petition with 500 signatures to get his name removed.

Enrollment has gone down. The Starkville Campus is bigger than the Oxford Campus and Starkville alone is about to surpass the Jackson and Oxford campus combined. The town has been in decline the past few years. The football team is currently in a mess thanks to Freeze. This is the last thing the needed. And quite frankly the last thing my state needed.

We Mississippi State folks need to look in our own town. Starkville has a Rainbow Mayor who is trying to turn the town into little San Francisco. The far left have taken over the Golden Triangle. Crime has gone up dramatically in the last decade in the whole Triangle.

So many things making my head hurt about Ed Meeks post. The obvious overtones are obvious. But, that doesn't mean that there are no problems in Oxford. The Square on Game weekends has turned into something far different from the Chamber of Commerce ads in Southern Living magazine, to put it mildly. As a tax paying property owner I have serious concerns, fandom aside.
I am admittedly old and out of touch. I'm never critical of young peoples tastes or trends, but crime is crime and cannot be tolerated.
