What does a losing season feel like, I don't remember?

A&m did have a football team before joining the SEC. Longest losing streak 9 seasons, 1958-1966, then 6 seasons from 1968-1973. That's 1 winning season in 16 years. Looks like you're right up there with Vandy. Last losing season streak, 2008-2009. And don't worry, at your current pace you'll have a losing season in the SEC too in the next year or two.

Well of course, but the whole point of the thread was to talk about losing season streaks in SEC history.

This doesn't mean much when you limit the expansion teams to their years in the SEC. South Carolina had a NINE year streak without a winning season before joining the conference.

All expansion teams.

I'm going WTF right along with the rest of y'all...SC and Arky with 2/4 top results using these statistics goes against everything people believe about us.

No, I prefer to bitch in this one. Less work, and much more satisfying.

Honestly, you're right. I originally was going to leave the expansion teams out of it, but it just felt incomplete without them. In the end though, putting them in just isn't fair to the other original teams remaining.

I've removed all of the expansion teams from the original post.

Imagine how much better this site would be if everyone took this attitude.

Arkansas' worst stretch all time was '39 through '43. 5 seasons. Last losing season was 2013

Interesting stuff!
Could have been cool to include the expansion teams' entire history as an addendum/appendix. It's slightly against your topic but shows the history of all current SEC teams
