Since the SEC was formed in 1933 here are the longest droughts between SEC titles for big 6 members. Years in parentheses are the booked title seasons.

Alabama - 9 Years (1999 - 2009)
Georgia - 19 Years (1982 - 2002)
LSU - 21 Years (1936 - 1958)
Tennessee - 21 Years (1998 - ?)*
Auburn - 25 Years (1957 - 1983)
Florida - 57 Years (Formation of SEC - 1991)

*ACTIVE

-Pretty impressive that bama hasn't gone a full decade between not winning the SEC
-A bit surprising Florida went so long between the league forming and finally winning 1. However once they did they went on a tear winning a frickton in the 90s and a few more in the aughts. They are currently on a 12 year drought.
-Auburn has had multiple 20 year droughts, from the formation of the league until 1957, then again from 1957 to 1983.
-AL/UGA/LSU have generally been the most consistent winning titles throughout regular intervals rather than getting them in bunches then having long droughts.
-Tennessee is the most intriguing thing on here to me. Much like UGA/LSU, they routinely won titles across different decades and were a model of consistency, as evidenced by the fact they have the 2nd most SEC Titles all time. However, they are currently in a drought that shows no sign of ending anytime soon.

Great thread but you have to imagine posting about droughts as a Georgia fan will open the floodgates

If people are so ADD-riddled that they can't focus on one topic without instantly having to devolve into another that's their problem. They can start another thread if they want.

Also, the post isn't really insulting or derogatory (other than to UT I suppose, if one has thin skin) so I'm not sure why someone's immediate response would be "arrrghghh well I'll show him, I must make comments about UGA now!"

Alabama, LSU and UGA all have titles in the past 4 years. Long time before any could end matching their longest no title streak. Auburn has their 2013 title, so long ways off from matching 25, and it will be a LONG time without a title for Florida to match theirs.

Believe it or not, even with Alabama winning the last title, they are the squad closest to matching their previous longest (excluding Tennessee obviously as each year is a new longest streak for them)

Alabama is the only SEC team that has won an SEC title every decade since the conference started.

What is impressive is since 1920, Alabama has won at least 1 national title every decade except the 1950's and 1980's.

What is even more impressive is that Alabama won multiple national titles in the 1920's, 1930's, 1960's, 1970's and 2010's.

What is the most impressive is that Alabama has won back to back titles in 25-26, 64-65, 78-79, and 11-12
