You literally had no idea Winston wasn't eligible. You're an idiot and Clowney will still go top 5, likely #1

Clowney will be top 3 at least.

Oh no, he's just going to just drop to the #2 pick. Whatever will he do?

It is not possible for them to both be in the same draft, unless clowney wants to come back his senior season, then hang out for a year working out until after JW's junior season.

This part isn't true either. JW will be eligible after next season. He red-shirted one year.

His "injuries" have cost him millions
This isn't even close to true. He'll be a top three pick and the huge money comes with the second contract in today's NFL. There won't be much of a difference in pay between pick one and pick three.

ETA:

because NFL teams are asking "what if he decides to do that again after he inks a contract with us"
Link?

Any college player thinking of phoning in their last collegiate season needs to look at the Clowney case study
The one that says it won't have an appreciable effect?

This whole notion is spectacularly stupid. If the holder of the first pick has a need for a DE, Clowney will be the pick. Whichever team needs help in that spot will draft him. No one is running away from a phenomenal prospect like Clowney.

I still think he goes #1. He will blow up the combine and his pro day and the scouts will forget all about his effort issues

Yeah..in a different draft class. Of course someone else is going to emerge. In fact, I'd be willing to be that someone will emerge as the #1 pick every single year.

First off, Winston isn't eligible.

Second, Mel Kiper is an entertainer and has zero impact on who is actually drafted.

Third, the difference in the #1 vs the #2 pick last year were contracts for 4yrs/22 mil vs 4 yrs/21 mil. I think Clowney will somehow survive.

I'm sure he probably appreciates it. Now he doesn't have to worry about ESPN falsely reporting how he arrived to games and shite

Clowney is just lucky that that kid that emerged is young
This makes absolutely no sense. How does a great player eligible for next year's draft make anyone forget about a phenomenal prospect in this year's draft? You seem to be projecting. Not a single NFL organization in need of a DE prospect has forgotten about Jadaveon Clowney. Anyone who thinks so is literally too stupid to insult.

No it isn't. You thought Kiper said that Winston would be the #1 draft pick in 2014. That's your point.

This is the single worst topic I have ever seen on this board and I have seen a lot of TennesseeJed topics

I was thinking about this... Even if you needed a QB you should take Clowney first overall. There isn't really a can't miss QB in this class. Bridgewater, Manziel and Carr (the usual projected 1st rounders...) are great, but not guaranteed to be a franchise player. If you took Clowney first overall you could still get a Boyd, Mett, McCarron, Hundley, Murray type player in the second or third and still get the best player in the draft.

The last time there was a generational type physical specimen the first pick was used on a QB for need as well, instead of Megatron. JaMarcus Russel happened...
